- Lied too about the contract he signed. - Refused a copy of the signed contract. - Messed around by poor promotional management. - Lied too about the fight being televised. Is it any wonder Curtis Harper simply walked out of the ring when he was treated as if he was simply a sack of crap? Curtis Harper - “Ain’t no fear in me against another man in the ring... I was truly disgusted with the business aspect of what I saw.” Any half-smart filmmaker could make a well-made documentary about this incident. Boxing is the only sport in the world where corruption and poor business practices in regards to an athletes well being are so pervasive and prevalent. Could the boxing walk out become a sports protest similar to actions seen in other sports to protest and express disgust in the treatment of combat sports athletes?
He should have just kneeled during the National Anthem. Walking out was a disgrace and he will forever be remembered as a disgrace to all sports.
Maybe, but maybe a martyr also for future fighters and journeyman who see the system of boxing for what it is.
I don't know all the details, but what I do know is that "fear" had nothing to do with this situation.
I would love to see all the details behind what happened that led to him walking out of the ring I suppose this story is just going to be buried to keep funny memes and belittle the guy
He had issues with the contract, but apparently wasn't vocal about it before the fight. They were gonna pay him something like 6k and he already accepted money for the flights and his hotel. Nate Campbell, who was training him, is pissed off at him.
