Whe a guy talks as much gangsta' **** as this guy did, and goes out and gets the dog**** beaten outta' him, he can expect to hear from us. We listened to HIS ****, now he has to listen to ours. Maybe next time he'll talk less and fight more. Broner's the next one to get it. Time to take out the trash.
How often do people say, "so and so can't act, sing", whatever, and they themselves can't do it. People have opinions and can talk as MUCH **** (like Curtis) as they want. People on here saying they shouldn't are the ones sounding like fools. I guess when Bad Chad went to his corner and said, "that's it, I'm done", didn't quit, either. GTFOH.
iamtheman, he didn't utter ONE word saying he wanted to CONTINUE, either, did he? That corner was afkn' joke with everybody but his momma giving instructions and she WOULD have, but she took a hike.
DOUBLEDGS, yeah and now, unfortunately, that Russian is in a coma and in critical condition. His corner should've stopped that fight after the 7th rd.
come on man respect these fighters, have you ever sparred or been in the ring it takes a lot of heart, I have sparred at my boxing gym and it takes soemthing to do it, stevens didn't have anything left, his corner made the right decision
This kinda rubbish pisses me off. Yeah, I'm a GGG fan, but Curtis came and gave his all, brought a much better fight than most expected despite ulimately losing. It was clear that the point had been reached when Curtis was no longer able to protect himself properly or fight back in any significant way. FWIW, it was the Ref who asked the corner (or rather consulted with Rozier), who stopped the fight and it was a good decision. These kinda comments are quite simply sick in the light of all the serious injuries and even deaths that already happen in the sport - there's already one guy who may not box again after Saturday, should that have been Curtis too?
:rofl Somebody had to build up the fight, that we could all understand without broken English, and that was what Curtis did to promote the fight. :smoke
What's happening to Magomed right now should prove that Stevens' corner made the right choice, although some "fans" would rather see a fighter bludgeoned into unconsciousness rather that commit the cardinal sin of throwing in the towel and worrying about his future health.
Here's the thing though, he didn't throw in the towel. His corner stopped the fight. The argument that he didn't protest the stoppage is ridiculous. If that's the standard, then there are a whole lot of quitters in the sport.
