Stevens looks like a blown up junior middleweight.

He was catching Golovkin and making him a bit apprehensive to engage.

Stevens next to Golovkin at the weigh in^ He's shorter than Brook with a slightly smaller frame.

Round 2 is when he rocked Golovkin and he was visibly hurt.

golovkin not as granite-chinned as everyone thinks.
he keeps his chin tucked in very well, most of the shots are on his forehead because his chin is very low. it's very easy to take a punch with your forehead

It staggers me how easy it is to hit Golovkin and I'm not talking about when he visibly lets his opponents hit him,I seen the Geale fight today for the first time and whilst he never looked like hurting GGG he did find the target very easily.

GGG does have an iron chin though it would seem, over 300 amateur fights without ever going down would suggest that?
Canelo could do well if only he believed it,then again Golovkin could just stalk him down and make light work of it?

Ggg has never (NEVER) been hurt in any amateur and or pro fight. You meats mistake one taking a few clean shots with being hurt.

To many on here, hell, sadly most on here believe any fighter caught cleanly means they got hurt.aa Plucking ignorance toto the 9th degree.

Fellas, learn the basics before trying to talk boxing. Got it, great, now STFU

Stevens could definitely punch hard. Golovkin was wary with him and rightly so. There are some guys you can just wade in on, and some guys you can't. Stevens falls into the latter category.

How does Golovkin manage to weigh around 165 30 days before fights yet rehydrates to around 170 on fight night after weighing in?

Stevens had 2 of his best rounds after the KD :huh

Anyway back to the original thread starter, judging Stevens and Golovkin's respect of his power has nothing to do with Kell Brook. Stevens was an undersized SMW that has fought as high as LHW. His power is a few orders of magnitude higher than Brook. Curtis is built like a tank and hits like one. No one in boxing disputes that, not even Golovkin himself. Brook won't crack Golovkin.

I've been boxing for 7 years... You're just making yourself look like a fool. It's much easier to take a shot with your forehead than your chin, if you think different you're severely uneducated on boxing...

Maybe you just can't take a shot. Probably a relation of amir khan you are.

In all seriousnesss though you probably have your chin sky high like an amateur and when you get hit your head goes flying back, your brain crushes in your skull and get knocked out.

I always do neck exercises, the same with golovkin. With strong neck muscles and chin tucked low you can take punches to the forehead. You probably have a very weak neck or something

I don't think that's fair to Stevens at all. I'm sure he was buzzed pretty bad in the 2nd by those two left hooks to the jaw. It took him a while to clear his head, while in the mean time he was getting pummeled. He actually mounted the best rally he could in the 6th and 7th, landing several good shots. It just wasn't enough.

He did NOT quit, he just got beat up.
