Stevens has a Glass Jaw and isn't going to beat anyone worth a crap. Never understood why some people on here act like a fighter that 'talks trash' somehow will help him in the ring. GGG beat his ass.
Stevens speaking the truth, Adonis ran from Kovalev for a reason, and now he's sending his bodyguard stiff Pascal to fight Kova for him
after GG proceeds to negotiate with Chavez, Jr suddenly becomes the weak link at 168, when 6 months earlier he was a young hungry lion
Stevens keeping it real. His acknowledgement of Stevenson running to Showtime for LESS $$$ and easier fights...... The way he took up for Chad Dawson......the way he says it like it is about KOvalev...... Stevens don't duck. He doesn't know his own ceiling, but he's tried to reach it and lasted 8rds in a competitive fight. Stevens KOs Quillin in 4 rds. Quillin knows this so he'll go after pillowfisted CPer Jacobs. Someone he can KO will a L hook. Quillin is a wide hooker. Stevens is a short hooker. This fight would be identical to Lucas vs Peterson. :deal
I had him down by 2 rds going into the 10th 5-3-1. 87-85. Score the 10th as a 10-8 and it was a draw. Anyone having Stevens down more than 2 rds doesnt like Stevens. The majority of ppl thought Johnsons workrate was enough to give him 6 rds at most. He shoulda steered clear in the 10th and there'd be no arguments. He'd have a 96-95 96-94 type win and likely become a top 20 MW overnight.:think
I give Stevens a bit of a pass for shortcomings at SMW, since I genuinely think he is much more suited to 160. Overall, Quillin is a more versatile boxer. The problem for Quillin vs Stevens is that Quillin has that tendency to kind of peter out mid-fight and you get the sense he is kind of thinking "what now". If he throws punches vs Stevens during those spats of floundering he is very liable to get caught on the chin with a left hook. I think Quillin has concentration problems. That is his Achilles heel. If he was able to keep his focus for 12 rounds I think he could UD Stevens.
Sturm couldn't even KO a blown up fat out of shape Welterweight in Delahoya He then goes on to get KO'd by Delahoya left over Javier Castiego
Sturm beat him in the rematch though. but either way, it still doesn't remove the fact that Sturm was ripped off in criminal manner against De La Hoya. he won that fight with ease. and it's Castillajo, not "Castiego". :-(
