I just happened to look up the next time on he was fighting because i hadn't heard anything about him. He's actually fighting jesse Brinkley in Feb. Anyway i went on youtube to watch some of his old fights, and he was a BEAST. I was watching one of his fights and i heard Max Kellerman say he had the 3rd highest recorded knockouts in US amateur history. I was shocked, thats a big feat. I also never knew he had fought Allen Green in the amateurs before at only 17 at that, he was a kid and Allan Green was 22....and he Knocked Allen Green on his face!!!!

Curtis Stevens can PUNCH. Too bad he can't cut off a ring that well, and he's short to boot. I think he'll knock out Brinkley though, which will just earn him the right to get dominated by Bute. The loss to Dirrell sent him backwards, but he's a better fighter than a lot of people give him credit for.

Stevens is a pretty decent fighter. It's just a bit short for the division at 5'7".

I wish him luck against Brinkley. The winner gets a shot at the IBF champion. Both of them won't make a very interesting fight for Bute but with the Super Six, it could be a decent stay busy fight for the Romanian.
