I disagree he gave Ali hell in Manila, and showed in Quarry 2 .and against Bugner he was not finished.
Well he might not be able to get out of the way of that powerful straight jab to save his life given his height, robotic reflexes, and his tendency to lean back on defense.
come on. You could write a book and have it halfway edited in the time that old Foreman threw a punch. Entire nations of fruitflies have perished while waiting for old George to finish a combination. Even friggin Shannon Briggs was faster than old Foreman and Vitali turned his face into a pumpkin while taking hardly anything in return.
Everybody was faster than old Foreman yet he took care of most of them. What people forget is that you have to land a heap of shots to counter every one of George's such was his power and his chin. You can't hit the guy without putting yourself in the way of being clipped back and George was never afraid to take a couple of shots in order to deliver some punishment of his own. And Vitali would have taken some punishment. I'm not saying old Foreman beats him but Big George was a legitimate chance in any fight, against anybody.
I don't recall seeing Holyfield with half his face hanging off and needing dozens of stitches after fighting a 37 year old man.
LMFAO maybe you forgot how Holyfield contrived to get knocked out by a blown-up middleweight who trained in McDonalds This content is protected
That's the thing isn't it...Vitali was hittable. Yes, he was tough and durable but he wasn't exactly Floyd Mayweather defensively. And as great as Lennox Lewis was, it's one thing to be smacked around by Lewis and entirely another to take Foreman's unique form of punishment. I'd probably tip Vitali against old George but not with any confidence whatsoever. And Vitali doesn't come out of it either way without his face looking like hamburger.
It's always cute when you see a simp use one fight to try and prove a point. Lewis was beaten up by Hasim goddamn Rahman. By your logic that means that Leiws is a chump.
