  1. Why did mike leave kevin rooney and the rest of cus's team ?

And who was his main trainer after he came out of prison ?

He left Rooney and the rest of cus' team, because Don King brought into his own team to train mike for probably a much cheaper price, plus it allowed Don King to have full control of Iron Mike and his finances.

Im not a 100% sure who his trainer was when he came out of jail, but it might of been Ronnie shields.

Yeah, he went on to train Owen Beck at heavyweight. I'm pretty sure he trained Tim Austin too.

This is the non-classic boxing forum, and as far as I know Mike Tyson is not an active fighter. :think

Come to think of it, I see Lewis, Tyson, Bowe threads up here every now and then. Really shouldn't.

Tyson was easily manipulated. It was a combination of his douche-bag wife, scum-bag Don King and his own vices that derailed his career. It has all be covered by his biographers.

Try reading the book Jose Torres did on him, I cant remember the name of it, but it was a good read. Torres gave a pretty good insight into Tyson's life in this book, a must have for any real Tyson fan.

Rooney made Tyson as good as he was. It wasnt Cus who completed Tyson he just programmed Tyson to believe what he was doing. Rooney tweaked the Damato style to make Tyson the machine he was. He was obsessed with making Tyson the perfect fighter, and had him pretty close.

Tyson never went back to Rooney because he knew he didnt have the heart to make the commitment Rooney would have expected of him to get back to the top. Thats why he went with childhood friends, and yes men, after prision.

    Rooney
    Snowell
    Giachetti
    after prison
    Jay Bright (clueless)
    Giachetti (one fight)
Tommy Brooks (the best of all of them besides Rooney)
    Ronnie Shields
    Freddie Roach
    Jeff Fenech Tom Patti
