Like watching a savant that has never seen a Rubik's Cube before, puzzling it over for a few minutes and then rapidly starting to solve it.

Ramírez, whose day job is harvesting strawberries, has never been stopped. This could be a nice statement win if Clayton manages to put it all together and finish him inside schedule.

    Round 3

Ramírez is wary of the counters now, and particularly the rights downstairs, and is skipping away from Clayton leaving a breadcrumb trail of right jabs. Clayton is using speedy but composed and unhurried bursts of footwork to catch up to Ramírez, getting off with straights under his elbows after closing the gap, and then watching & letting him escape without lunging wastefully in pursuit. Very smart and economical approach from Clayton, intelligently pressure-boxing.

 That's such a left-field comparison, but ...yeah, actually. (the commentators liken Clayton to a cross between Shawn Porter and Timothy Bradley, as in possessing some of the better stylistic attributes of either without some of their respective baggage)

    Round 4

Ramírez is getting marched down and held in check as Clayton fires stiff jabs from his own eye socket out into Ramírez's chest, zapping all of his right jabs before they even budge from their HQ. Ramírez frequently getting maneuvered into corners and clumsily suing for peace with a wild left uppercut that Clayton easily sidesteps. Clayton is knifing through Ramírez's guard with the jab and landing solid rights on the body.

Custio's not quite as fluid as Bradley...maybe tends to sharp shoot a bit more than Desert Storm...But I don't dislike that comparison.

    Round 5

Ramírez is getting touched up with skewering rights on the abdomen, forehead-shaving jabs, crosses into the jaw off high pump-feint jabs, and even duck-in left hooks on the liver (which as the commentators point out is typically very difficult for an orthodox boxer to land on a southpaw, never mind a taller one, fighting negatively on the backfoot to boot). Ramírez is throwing desperate left uppercuts to dissuade Clayton, but the Canadian's ring vision is too acute to let himself walk onto anything stupid, applying enough steady pressure to score but not place himself in the danger zone.

    Round 6

Ramírez is pawing with the right jab now, as things fall into a bit of a lull with Ramírez's backside kissing each set of ropes in turn. Clayton is ducking in past the jab and coming up with counter hooks, landing more and more flush and buzzing Ramírez at times but not rushing in recklessly when he does. Ramírez is moving & throwing enough to not get run through, but he's being overwhelmed statistically as virtually all of his jabs and uppercuts are blocked or ducked. Clayton starts opening up with faster and more intense combos in the final twenty seconds.

    Round 7

Ramírez is unable to get even a moment's reprieve off the ropes. Clayton is peppering him with the 1-2 up top and shredding the body with roundhouses diving in. Ramírez is pawing with the right jab weakly, and sometimes firming up his stance before hitting a corner, leaning back and loading up on slingshot lefts, which Clayton bends underneath or slams on the brakes to veer away from and elude. Clayton is tattooing him at mid-range from different altitudes, never letting up.

    10-9 Clayton
