Custio Clayton, the undefeated prospect that hails from the land of Dixon and Langford, Nova Scotia, who for a while seemed like a KO artist, his power has seemed to wane in his last few matches, he's going to taking a massive step up in class later this month in taking on fellow unbeaten Stephen Danyo. The Dutchman who fight out of the UK Danyo's 0 is a tad bit dubious at best, IMO he was not only beaten but dominated by unheralded Kazakh Alexandr Zhuravskiy, he was gifted the SD win, he fights well off the back foot but seems to struggle with decent pressure fighters, while Clayton who cuts the ring off well using his stiff jab effectively, he isn't what I'd call a suffocating buzzsaw. So who do you guys have in this one? The slickster Danyo or the somewhat heavy handed Clayton?

    Nova Scotia stand up. :D

Clayton has adopted the role of aggressive counter puncher who cuts off the ring pretty well and makes a point of going to the body; in fact, he wiped out his last opponent with a nasty hook downstairs in 30 seconds. Granted, the opponent wasn't great, and I wouldn't say that Custio necessarily is ,or is really intent on becoming a KO artist. But Custio is becoming a very solid, skilled fighter who probably has the ability to force Danyo into a situation where he eventually gets a little careless and the timing and power to make him pay for those mistakes at some point.

Custio by KO in the later rounds.

Danyo is really good. Was a very good amateur, he was supposed to participate at 2012 Olympics but had to withdraw with an injury. Should have had a good chance to win a medal. After that he turned pro and moved to the UK.
Leaning towards a decision in favor Clayton. Danyo lacks a bit of power but let's see how Clayton will trade with an opponent who is moving well & smart.

Clayton and Danyo are rated 7 and 8 by the WBO, respectively. Three of the fighters rated above them (Garcia, Porter, and Pac) are scheduled to fight for other belts, so the winner of this should slide into the Top 5 of that organization's rankings and position themselves for either a title shot or an eliminator at the very least.

This is pretty much the way I see it as well. Add to that Danyo just has the look of someone who is fragile and a KO waiting to happen.

Danyo shouldn't even have a zero to ante up anymore. By rights Alexander Zhuravskiy ought to have taken it.
