Amongst all of the hoopla that surrounds David 'Showbiz' Haye, one thing that seems to have been overlooked by his many detractors - especially on these boards - is that, well, he's pretty good at this boxing lark and when he's on form is a danger to anyone.

Yes, the toe excuse was silly but so was Manny blaming his socks, Wlad claiming he was drugged and a whole host of other silly excuses top drawer fighters have been stupid enough to come out with. Move on sadacts.

Do you really believe he deliberately cut himself to duck a multi-million pound payday against a guy he was 2-5 on to beat? For context he was the same price to beat Chisora.

David Haye would have been gutted to miss out on that cash even if Fury would have shocked everyone outside of the traveller community and dominated Haye.

Why would Haye deliberately injure himself by like you said cutting himself or by putting himself through major shoulder surgery, then missing out on big pay days.
