What fights this year domestic and on the world stage did you think "damn good cornerwork" ? From cuts to words, who impressed ? Cool and calculated or was it harsh as hell. As we know different things work for different fighters.

Personally i am having Benny King as cutsman of the year. Biased no, i just loved the Kappa tracksuit and 'tache :yep How old is that tracksuit ? It seems he dont wear it recently though :think

Different thread i guess, maybe unsung heroes :bbb

Sorry, but the tit for tat "he wins, loses, shot" threads are burning me,(ESB in general) to bits.Certainly not a slight on the Brit ESB forum by any means, after the Classic forum Brit ESB gets my vote easily. Quality not quantity for me.

Who saved a fighter, who helped, who felt embarassed ?
I dont think Pauli was saved, i think McGirt felt embarassed and i dont know the reasons etc regarding why he ditched his coach previous but McGirt took a paycheck.

    Iwill stop typing now

    Replys are always good ,thanks

Mick Williamson or Jimmy Tibbs would be cutman of the year.

    Trainers.....

I don't know. How long has Malignaggi been with McGirt?

Pauli took McGirt for the Hatton fight, i guessed, presumed they had been together longer. Seems i was wrong,or was he training him before ?
Anyways, Jimmy Tibbs and Williamson......why ?

    Cheers

Mental, guess its the same one i seen for years. Was it him that cleaned him up regarding Thaxton ? Cut from the 2nd on, that was hard work but as any cutsman knows, theres only so much you can do. Well i would presume.

Ok he was cutsman of the year it seems, but what did he have to do,job wise........and with who ?

    Cheers for the replys

I have only ever seen a Williamson fighter stopped once.... Matthew Hatton against some patsy..... it wasn't even as bad as the cut Ricky got against Floyd!

I have a bit of a soft spot for Jimmy Tibbs for some reason... just seems like a great guy.

Not sure who would win a British trainer of the year award.... McGirt would win worst trainer. He is hopeless.

Not the Paulie pull out - in fact he was probably correct in that instance.

His man was doing nothing except holding to avoid taking a beating....

I have only ever sparred (today for the first time actually) but would imagine that a voice of reason in the corner would really help.... not just telling you to drink some water and jab baby.

Fair enough but he done 11 with Hatton and did you see him on the brink of sparkdom ? I did from the first to the last and before the fight but he was ok within. Sure he was taking a beating, no less or worse the 1st or 11th. Thats what i dont understand.

Seemed selfish but i aint gonna question McGirt over me naturally.

I think he was ready to go a few times, but not really badly late on.

The second was the worst time..... then mid-rounds through accumulation.

It was worth it though to see him crying, after branding Hatton a clubfighter!

Still wondering why people say Williamson apart from what seems to be Hattons Cutsman, he certainly didnt have much to do this year.

Seems like Benny's the king indeed. Done more corners than a crackhead.

On more Warren shows than the fighters themselves :happy:hi::bbb:yep

    "King" Benny :deal
