Excelled at this, to maybe stop a fight not going their way?

I feel the Lennox/Vitali cut may of been calculated, getting him with the inside of the glove expertly on top of aggrivating the damned thing.

Greb was maybe THE master at this, as he did it to Tunney seconds into their fight, starting a prolonged, vicious ass kicking.

    Hmm?

Sandy Saddler, Fritzie Zivic were two of thhe roughest ever and used elbows, thumbs, and headbutts to gain an advantage and often caused horrific cuts on their opponents

Jem Mace was the original expert of cutting someone up, as he developed the jab.

It is obviously a huge advantage to draw blood, not least as Sir 'enry points out, it does rather hurt, and I guess he more than most would know!;)

    Ali. Particularly the younger version.

Without using doubtful means, he made an art of using his glancing blows around the eyes to cut up his opponents.

calzaghe did a superb job of keeping that cut on jones' eye open. no-one seemed to mention that on here afterwards. he was very accurate.

If it was that easy to cut someone it would be done in most fights, sure beats a real fight.

Getting cut is part of the risk of boxing.
