Okay guy, you guys have convinced me too cut back on water. I am going to do 2 galloons per day. Basically, 4 of the 64 oz snapple bottles per day of pure water. I am going to up my workout to this: 4 Miles on the Tread Mill. 1 hour on the heavybag 500 Situps with 12 lb medicine ball intervals of 50 500 Pushups using this perfect pushup thing I have intervals of 25 250 Tricep dips in Intervals of 50 10 Minutes speed Bag 10 Minutes double end bag Light Free weights Situps. pushups and dips are done at home. I am 30 years old, 235 lbs. 6'3 just to give you guys an idea.
Is this going to be a daily routine? If so, that is pretty ambitious. I'm thinking to do this you are looking at no less than 2 1/2 hrs. of hard workout with little rest between sets. At age 30 I'll assume you are working somewhere full time and have other obligations to meet besides working out. More power to you if you can accomplish this daily. You're in much better shape that I'll ever be in if you can.
Much too easy man. Triple all of that up and do it twice a day and THEN you are working out! :good Seriously man are you a troll? :blood
Very unrealistic IMO. An hour on the heavy bag is something that you will get tired of quickly, don't set yourself all these targets, expand on your knowledge of the areas you are working on and add more exercises. For instance when you say 500 situps, this is a very novice like approach. You ain't going down a regular gym with alot of fatties after work. How about; Jacknifes 10 x 3 V Sit Ups 10 x 3 Crunchs 10 x 3 Oblique Twists 10 x 3 Planks 30 Secs x 3 More than enough if you are working out daily.
been doing the heavybag workout with the speed bag and double end bag working portion for over 1 year. I go at a measured pace, almost like a fight pace. I figure, i try to do 40-60 punches per minute, like a heavyweight fight. As far as work, I own my own business. I do this workout 5 days per week. definetly takes 2.5 to 3 hours per day. I am not in body builder shape or anything like that. I am surpised, my cardio has went well up and my stamina for punching, but my strength has went down.
Doing that workout 5 days a week this sentence does not surprise me in the slightest. Why is it a shock to you?
500 push ups in sets of 25? That's 20 sets of ****ing push ups. Are you taking the ****? 4 mile run followed by an hour on the heavy bag...? I'm inclined to think so. Oh, and 2 gallons of water is still over 7 ****ing litres. That is an obscene amount of liquid to be drinking every day unless you have no kidneys.
I don't think it is really too much to do man. I really don't. When I hear that Josh Clottey runs 12 miles per day in training in addition to everything else that seems a lot. How long do you guys go to the gym for? I don't think you can get a really, really strong workout in 45 minutes.
So you are calculating: 2 mins = 80 -160 punches 3 mins = 120 -180 punches And you do this for an hour AFTER you run 4 miles and follow it up with calisthenics? All of this while being a 30 year old 235 lbs man looking for "weight loss" tips? Man your new name is Lou_NY. Because your are about as full of crap as a loo.
yup. 4 Miles on the tread Mill at a slow pace. I am not a fast runner. Ever did the treadmill on 4 MPH at an incline of 3? I said i do the treadmill for 1 hour. It is not super hard. As far as the punching on the heavybag goes thats a pace I go for. 40-60 punches per minute yes. a combinations on the bags, each punch would count.
It depends on your perspective. If you are spending an hour on a treadmill then an hour on the heavy bag, then following up with bodyweight exercises (hundreds of them no less), then yeah, I think it's too much. I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that you are not Joshua Clottey, you aren't a high level boxer or competitive athlete of any sort, so what do you care what Clottey is doing? You think wrong my friend. You can bust your arse for 20-30 minutes and get a really high quality workout in, then you can spend all that extra time working your technique, increasing your flexibility, drinking water, whatever.
Too much man. Go for intensity and quality of exercise than repetition. Probably more enjoyable aswell, I'm guessing you're probably not fighting for a world title any soon so why put yourelf through hell like they have to?
Heavyweights don't throw that many punches mate, only a few fighters throw 100+ punches per round, Williams, Marg e.t.c. So to summarize, cut down and do some more reading. What business do u own anyway?
