Dude, I was 6'2" 240 pounds and 34 years old at this time last year. Now I'm 202 pounds working out 1 hour per day at LA Boxing and sparring on Friday nights. I bust my ass for 57 minutes (3 minutes for water breaks). I do 15 Minutes of Abs and pushups to start out with, 5 minutes of shadow boxing, 30 minutes of heavy bag, then 10 minutes of more abs/pushups at the end.

That along with eating less cals has got me to my weight I'm at today. I know if I eat a little cleaner I'll drop another 10 pounds EASY! No need for 3 hours of training unless you plan on fighting pro. Sounds like you just need to increase your intensity for 60 minutes!

You can either work long or you can work hard. You can't do both.
I think an hour and a half is about optimal for a boxing session. My club trains for 2 hours but I think this can be too long at times, ok if you are usiang the time to stretch and warm up and down efficently.

Thank you for the full of bull**** comment. I would love to spar anyone on this ****ing board that thinks I am talking **** or a liar. I use training as a stress reliever. I used to work on wall street, know I own a large day care business. I don't know anyones background on here and I don't see the point to insult anyone to tell you the truth. Keyboard warriors. I was asking for some advice and people shread me. Nice.

Anyone who claims they are drinking 11 liters of water a day is full of ****. Assuming you sleep 8 hours a day you are awake for 16 hours a day. That would mean drinking 600 ml of water EVERY hour from when you wake up to when you go to sleep. You say you are 235 lb and one liter of water at 4 degrees is 2.205 lb. If you are drinking 11 liters of water a day thats 22.25 lb of water in a single day. You are drinking 9.4% of your body weight. I don't believe you. Maybe your just really bad at measuring up how much water you drink a day?

If this is true then your kidneys must be absolutely ****ed. Stop drinking water for one day and see how much you **** out and how much weight you lose.

I believe you. When I did Thai boxing and had day before weigh ins I used to lose the last few poinds by water loading where from about 6 days out from the weigh in I would start drinking about 8=10 litres of water per day. I would aim to drink a 1.5 ltre bottle of ineral water every 2 hours.

Seriously man, I am trying so hard to take you serious, but by your calculations you run and do heavy bag for 2 hours. You pound out all that other stuff in .5-1 hour? :think:blood

I also don't believe your punch numbers. Not at all. Post a youtube vid of one of your rounds. 120 solid shots on a bag in 3 minutes is good for a guy of your size. You are base lining at that and regularly doing 150% of that and doing it for an hour? :think:blood

Your numbers come across one way (fraudulent), but your actual persona really seems genuine. :think:blood

Mitch you are an interesting dude. :hey

I count my punches sometimes on the bag. After running 4 miles, I tell you maintaining a workrate of 120 punches per round for an hour is incredible in my opinion.

And then following it with all those other exercises....? Wow, I couldnt do it.

    Im not no forum GURU.

But 2 gals. of water is a bit much. Try sipping the water during your workouts and during the daily. Let your body tell you what you need. I personally found that sipping the water during my workout and during the day helps my body absorb the water better.

As far as your workout. As someone else posted, Quality not quantity. If you figure out your workout right you can get a super intense workout in 45- 60 mins.

Difference between you and him is he claims to do it every day.

You say you do it in the days coming up to a weigh in. That is called superhydration and is a good quick weight loss plan. Doing it every day is insane. If he stops (apparently) drinking so much water a day then maybe he will see how much weight he suddenly loses.
