What a year of upsets! Hernandez looked fantastic in some fights, fading in others but altogether a great prospect...

You cannot underestimate any ring veteran and Braithwaite did show just that.

Plenty of time for Hernandez to come back and Braithwaite was a too big step-up... I hope and I believe he'll be back...

I believe hernandez definately could've won.
He started very fast even though didn't cause problems for him. But after the first he continued to throw bombs and try to ko big truck instead of box what he can do masterful. Ah what a pity, unnecessary loss imo. But a very good learning experience for him.

Yeah, Hernadez is a bit chinny but that loss was pure inexperience on his part. He didn't listen to his corner at all and wanted to force the KO instead of picking Braithwaite slowly apart from the outside with his obviously better skills. He took risks he absolutly didn't need to take and it cost him, his own fault, really.

    I quite agree with you,nbt!

Easy first round for the young Cuban greenhorn making him look like a future all time great. Result: he gets cocky and thinks he knows which way the cat jumped. He paid the price for his stupid mistakes in round 3 of his encounter with the experienced vet.
He should have listened to his coach who was imploring him not to underestimate his opponent after his first outstandingly impressive round.

Also I think the ref could've stopped it when the first knockdown occured, Yoan was than already not in a state to continue. Just watch it again. His legs were gone already.

Nonetheless it was a good, exciting fight guys!!
    Yoan will be back.
