    Not only that. He was impeccably stubborn, rude and dumb to a fault on all things historic. But he was pretty and so @Boxed Ears as shadow owner of this domain allowed him to cheat the Ferryman only once. Or so the legend goes.

    Johnson the far greater heavyweight. Let's be realistic though, the far more technically sound Toney would dismantle the crude Johnson

    I don't agree with @Journeyman92 that Toney was at his best at Middleweight, i much prefer Toney's performances at 168 vs Thorton, Littles, Barkley, Williams, DeWitt.

    Toney probably has better wins at Middleweight with McCallum and Nunn, but McCallum was 35 at the time and they were close. And then you have shakey performances vs Tiberi and Johnson who floored him heavily.

    I think Toney was better at 168 personally.

    160lbs or 168lbs is irrelevant in a way. He was 184? Lbs for Jones but that wasn’t with good preparation from memory. In good shape on fight night he’s most likely a LHW sized guy for the Johnson era. There’s probably sources of his in shape fight night weights but anyways.

    He only became a complete fighter at 168. His best performances were against Barkley and Litlles.

    Fair enough .. Johnson was stronger, Johnson was bigger and had a longer reach, Johnson had better stamina, Johnson hit harder, I believe Johnson was faster and while Toney was excellent defensively Johnson is regarded as one of the best defensive fighters ever .. I am a huge fan of Toney but he had two careers .. one as a middleweight that panned out and his comeback beating Jirov and then a bunch of shot or limited heavyweights .. The heavyweights proved how tough Toney was but nor necessarily how great .. Holyfield was way past his best , Rachman and Peters were huge tough guys but limited .. if Toney beast on either Klitschko or a Lewis or a top heavyweight I'd recognize that differently ..
