Yeah, ideally this fight would have been part of a 4 man eliminator like the IBF does sometimes. The winner of this should have faced the winner of a match up between 2 other IBF top 15 fighters-Pulev,Price, Martin, Ruiz, Szpillka etc. Still, the winner of Glazkov-Cunningham has done some good work to get a title shot. If Glazkov wins he'll be coming off, in the past year, wins over Cunningham(top 15 guy) and Adamek who was still in the top 5-10 at the time. If Cunningham wins he'll have beaten Glazkov(top 10) and Mansour, an undefeated fringe contender, in the last year. Not great work done by either guy but it's solid and we've seen a lot worse guys, in all divisions, get title shots.
Right. A lot worse have gotten title shots, and we should just be happy that contenders are facing each other in the HW division again.
I'm very confident Steve will handily outbox him, I just hope he doesn't get robbed. This guy has terrible luck with judges.
I am surprised the bookies have this one so tight. Glazkov opened at -125 and USS was even money. Early movement has pushed Czar to -140. Really thought Glazkov would be at least a 2.5-1 favorite.
Cunningham has the long jab style that gave Glazkov fits. Perhaps this is why? Glazkov has skill, he just needs to adjust a bit more to the pro game. I'd make Glazkov a 2-1 favorite as well
Suspect Canadian judges gave Glazkov the win he did not deserve. Once again Canadian judges ruin a fight
Just being honest here, it wasn't as big of a robbery as I anticipated. I actually ended up scoring the fight a draw myself but some of those scores were like the judges were on drugs.
