Freddy, D-Hop was dropped from Golden Boy a while ago. He was living in one of B-Hop's property's and decided he didn't want to pay his bills on time. He and his uncle had a falling out, Demetrius was kicked out of the property, and his contract was not extended with Golden Boy. Supposedly, they were also pissed at Demetrius for pulling out of the Witter fight.
GBP dropped him around the time when D decided to drop out of the fight with Witter when he was still champion.
That's what happens when you don't pay your bills and you pull out of fights like he did. Despite this, I'm glad he's getting another shot.
I know Witter's stock is low right now after that showing against Bradley. But let's be real here: D-Hop would have gotten bitchslapped if he had gone through with that fight.
D-Hop was smart, he was not ready to be fighting championship level guys at the time. I do not know what happend with him and his uncle and like they say there is two sides to every story, but I think D-Hop is doing what is best for him and that is a good thing.
TOP RANK is doing really great lately, at some point they had no one but Cotto to talk about a probably 2 others, now it's getting more competitive and that means more great events to come.
