Tiger would have beaten the Hell outta Golovkin.

    Anyone disagree?

kinda....but I would pick Tiger to win, just not to beat the hell out of him. GGG is a hard nights work and not an easy out for anyone in my thoughts.

    Bad beating for Golovkin.

Tiger was not the best finisher so I think GGG weathers some storms to make it to the finish line. But he takes a long sustained beating and those fights can age a guy overnight.

Agree. Theres some intangibles Tiger has too deal with here that keep this a good fight throughout.

The main problem for Tiger is that GGG jab, which he would have to navigate through in order to get in close and utilise his superior strength. Tiger isn't an opponent that GGG can push back at 160, and he would be forced to box/ hold center more often.
GGG can box a bit longer with his jab, but usually holds center ring and controls the range (when boxing mode). I see Tiger being able to get under the jab and, as stated, use his strength up close to 'out hustle' rounds. Neither man is known for their defense but are quite underrated in that regard by fans.
No knock outs here, but I can envision some great exchanges.

    Tiger decision.

    Completely disagree. Golovkin mauls him.

Tiger may be a tank but he's pretty darn slow and predictable. Golovkin is a fighter that has based his style around jabbing, creating space, and looking for the gap or the counter. This matchup has been done before and my answer is the same as it was then: look at the Benvenuti fight where Nino resets Tiger over and over with what is a fairly weak jab compared to Golovkin's hammer. A guy with slow feet like Tiger is exactly the wrong sort of guy you want to send in against GGG. Look for another Lemieux type performance.

Don't be ridiculous, Tiger's a class above Lemieux maybe even two.

Tiger wins.. But it ain't an easy fight, it's a mini war. Both men hurt but Tiger getting a decision. Would be calls for a rematch!

Yeah on second thought, I still like Tiger but it'd probably go the distance or late stoppage

    Only 2? More like 10.
One is top 10 all time at MW, the other is a fringe contender and a paper champion with a punch

I'm sorta torn, does GGGs jab and heavier shots take a decision? Or does Tiger's bullying and workrate win him a decision?
I like Tiger to force GGG back, which would be uncomfortable for him and as the Derev fight showed, GGG can be hit and hurt with a good body assault, I imagine Tiger's work downstairs slows a game GGG down and allows his workrate to win it. GGGs stiff ass jab would keep popping Tiger tho and his power punches are gonna win rounds, close fight.

One things clear, this ones going the distance.
