I'd see the argument as a little different. One of them has 19 losses, amongst which these guys feature: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/13483 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/13492 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/13489 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/34104 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/11380 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/10915 https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/11396 The other has arguably the longest ever reign at middleweight and is arguably unbeaten. I'm going with the second guy. You don't see GGG losing to freaking Randy Sandy.
This. You can't be slow and go in with Golovkin. That pressure he brings is all kinds of wrong for slow fighters.
Golovkin can't hurt Tiger/ Aging Tiger took bombs from Hank, Fernandez and Carter and dealt with them. The Jab of Golovkin will be the difference but his pressure fighting won't be bothersome to Tiger since you can't outslug him or fight him on the inside. You need to fight Tiger on the outside with the jab and moving around outboxing as Giardello and Griffith did. Griffith Win was aided by Weight Drained Tiger and Tiger would've dealt with the ATG griffith had he been younger and not weight drained. This is a SD win for Tiger/Golovkin depending on age of the fighters. I can see Tiger winning 2/3 bouts between the two given how he improves in rematches. Tiger is at the end of the day a Top 10 ATG based on resume. No point Kayoing Tiger.
Tiger once again shows why he was a force in the middleweight division and how the only way to possibly beat him was to box smartly, jab, jab, jab and move artfully. GGG wasn't that sort of fighter...and you could bet that if you asked Rivero, Fullmer, Giardello, Archer, Griffith, Fernandez, Hank, and especially Ruben Hurricane Carter if Tiger was "slow and predictable, they would answer you with a laugh and remind you that he didn't get to be a great middle champ by being effin' "slow and predictable", like he was like some doddering little old lady in a nursing home. Could you box and move, and jab all night long...and have a smart boxing IQ? You might have a chance ...amybe..., but not otherwise you wouldn't.
LOL. D. Tiger fought In the early 50s/early 60s and Golovkin fights in the 2000s onwards and most of you think D.Tiger wins? Based on what? Because he was born in the 20s and so he automatically wins because It was the golden age of boxing and he looks tough in his black and white pictures? Come on.
I'm of the opinion that Tiger was a tough SOB, and no doubt about it. But stylistically, he's going to really struggle against Golovkin. Tiger did well when he closed the gap fast and let his big looping punches go. He was a real handful to deal with up close, where his physicality was maximized. Golovkin on the other hand thrives on breaking the other guy's offensive rhythm with his jackhammer jab, and by creating space with his footwork. GGG would go nowhere near Tiger until he was satisfied that he was degraded enough and satisfied that he had his style down pat. Another thing that I've come to appreciate about Golovkin is his murderous uppercut, and he used it a lot on Canelo who has a similar build and hunched forward posture to Tiger. I could see that being used to effect on Tiger.
