At 6'6 260 he would fit right in. And 12 rd. bouts wouldn't be a problem for Primo. I think he would defiantly be a top contender and quit possibly a Champ. What say you?

He would definately hold one of the alphabet titles.

I, personally, would love to see a W.Klitschko-Carnera matchup. I'm not a huge fan of Carnera, nor am I overtly impressed by him, but I'm not that big on Wladimir just yet, either. I, for one, think he will/would have major problems with a skilled fighter that's actually bigger than him. Carnera has a good jab, too.

Carnera would beat him handily, I think.

    Valuev is too passive.

With fair managment there is no reason why he should not be steerd to an alphabet title.

Good posts all,you guys never dissapoint. I like Carnera. The reason being is that for years I heard he was the worst of all time. I had never seen him fight though, then I seen Sharkey II. I thought this guy isn't that bad. It was then I realized just how full of **** the so called experts were. The People on this board are much more knowledgable then any of the so called experts in my opinion.

There are some good things about Carnera that tend to get lost-

    He was consistent

If you gave him an oponent worse than him or sombody a bit better on a bad day, he took care of business.

If he got beaten it was because the other guy was either better or on a similar level with a better fight plan.

He was basicaly an over acheiver and that closed the gap between him and the title..

The problem is that alot of boxrec kids see his TKO loss to Max Baer and assume he was garbage.

These are the same people who think Max Baer sucked because he "looked really bad in the movie" :D Primo must've REALLY sucked to get knocked out by such a clown, right!?

Like I said in my previous post, all I had ever heard from the experts was how bad Primo was. Well he may not have been the best, but he certainly wasn't the worst and it takes guts to get up after being knocked down 11 times.
