Yeah I'm hardore! Action on G+ begins with the win-less Naomichi Yaginuma (0-1) fighting Shintaro Fuse (0-0). Didn't catch who was who so it's red Vs Black 1-And we immediately have a KD...within 10 seconds of the fight starting black is down, this one may not last long. Black having success and backs up red, and this round is flipping on it's head, red with a great counter shot but black's not going down again. Straight right from black...well we've seen he bell. "Black" looks a lot like Ryoichi Taguchui facially. I'm guessing Fuse is the one in red,he fights like a Gushiken fighter
Round 2-Red starting fast but black answering back, now red is stung,. Black has recovered excellently after the first 10 seconds. Red starting to look tired and black is coming on...and a counter uppercutt from red staggers black, and black is forced to hold. Black looks like the better schooled guy but red is so much stronger, black lands a 2 punch combo then eats a counter 19-18 Red Yup! Red is the Gushiken fighter, Fuse
Round 3-Quick start from Fuse drops Yaginuma for the second time and the towel comes in immediately. Yaginuma sits on his stool and looks thankful for his corners intervention. Unfortunately TV...froze...on the replay
Up next Yoshimitsu Kimura (2-0, 1) v Yuichi Kitayama (3-4-1, 3) 4 rounds @ 58.5KG's Kimura in "Gushiken" red whilst Yuichi will be in orange and white
1- Yuichi eats a counter but continues to apply pressure, Kimura looks like a counter puncher-odd for the Gushiken gym, Yuichi lands a big right hand, good body shot from Yuichi, and another. Kimura clinches, hard straight right from Yuichi backs up Kimura, Kimura forced to fight off the ropes and they are into an inside war. Kimura odd smiles as if he likes this but he's losing the round. Kimura turns Yuichi on the ropes but can't make the most of it and Yuichi quickly charges him to the opposite ropes. Hard counter from Kimura drops Yuichi just before the bell! 10-8 Kimura What a great round to kick the fight off. Gushiken fighters don't do "feeling out" rounds.
2- Yuichi on the front foot but missing a lot early, Yuichi now getting through but Kimura looks like he's inviting in the pressure and doesn't try to get out of the corner even when Yuichi gives him an opportunity to escape. Quieter rounder than the opener but not dull...HUGE RIGHT from Kimura! Yuichi now respecting his foe a little too much. Another huge right and a third. Yuichi has a good finish to the round cornering Kimura but goes back to his corner blinking. 20-17 Kimura Forgot to mention Yuichi is a southpaw.
I'm predicting Higa gets brutally KTFO this morning. Just when you think these Japanese guys are unstoppable....down they go.:!:
3- Yuichi throwing bombs and Kimura trying to respond, another huge shot from Yuichi, Kimura ends up being bullied into a neutral corner-incidentally the same one that the knockdown was scored in in the opening round. Yuichi walks forward and takes a counter, and a solid right from Kimura, Yuichi is working so much harder than Kimura but not having too many memorable moments here...just as I type that a right hand shakes Kimura's legs..Kimura instantly recovers and rocks Yuichi, and Yuichi responds...the the two take it in turns in close quarters for the final 20 seconds. Kimura with a HUGE ****ing grin on the way to his corner. Yuichi looks slightly worn out as he goes to his corner. Close round could be a 10-10 in Japan where even rounds aren't viewed as a problem
4- Yuichi bringing the pressure and they are just trading! 1 Minute in and they've not taken a pause. Action slows but Kimura lands a hard body shot, Yuichi looks to be trying to smother Kimura but it's not really working, uppercutt-straight, more uppercutts Kimura is looking for a close here, another uppercutt, Yuichi is holding, 45 seconds left, body uppercutt from Kimura, and another, Yuichi storming back but eats more uppercutts, this is all guts from Yuichi as he stands in the pocket and trades with Kimura. 40-36 Kimura on my card Not sure what the cards were, but Kimura seems to have won a UD, I want to see more of him, especially at this very low domestic Japanese level. Fun guy.
Fight #3 is Riku Nagahama (3-0-1) v Wataru Seino (5-3, 5) Nagahama is looking to continue a perfect start for Gushiken Gym, Seino is a serious puncher but lost in the 2013 Rookie of the Year final to Koki Tyson Maebara inside a round...and he seems to lack durability
1- Nagahama fighting like a puncher early, but doesn't really get Seino's respect. Seino walking forward looking for bombs, Nagahama counters well, Seino's power starts to make in roads in the final minute as he gets through with some solid blows at last. 10-9 Seino
2- Seino starting the round fast and Nagahama forced to take shots on the ropes, this doesn't look good for the JBC #7 ranked Middleweight. Seino continuing his assault. Nagahama lands a counter but can't slow Seino down. Nagahama having some success but Sieno sees it off and continues to bring the heat. 20-18 Seino
3- Seino continues to force the action, and Nagahama is really offering less and less in terms of return fire. Nagahama's only saving grace seems to be his toughness. Seino can't help but march forward and let the hands go. Nagahama breathing through an open mouth. 30-27
