Nagahama starts the round with some success...and has bust Seino's nose in the opening 40 seconds of the round, HARD RIGHT from Nagahama rocks Seino, Seino fires back, Seino's fighting through the blood and rocks Nagahama, Seino now looking tired but still bringing the fight to Nagahama, both looking sluggish, Nagahama can't avoid the shots of Seino...

I can see Nagahama getting that round...but he really shouldn't get the win...

    40-36 on my card

Next is a 6 round Super Flyweight bout between Yoshinobu Kakinaga (4-2, 1) v Jun Ishimoto (5-3-1, 3)

No Gushiken fighter in this one, as it's Teiken Vs Watanabe. Ishimoto is said to be very fun to watch despite his limitations.

Ishimoto is a dyed blonde southpaw...and his southpaw stance leaves him open to a hard right from Kakinaga in the opening minute. A relatively slow starter but Kakinaga boxing and moving well, lovely sharp left hook from Kakinaga, fight gets going slightly in the final minute with Ishimoto twice rocking Kakinaga to his heels.

Kakinaga claims the round on his early activity IMO

    Round 2-
This isn't really catching fire, or my attention. Kakinaga did land a good right hand after about 80 seconds but there's no intensity from the Teiken fighter whilst Ishimoto is just following his opponent around the ring. Two good body shots from Kakinaga late. A straight from Kakinaga drops Ishimoto with about 9 seconds of the round left. 20-17 Kakinaga

    3-
Kakinaga continues to box on the move and scores a second knockdown with almost 2 minutes of the round left. Kakinaga now stepping in and scores another knockdown. All 3 have been flash knockdowns, and Ishimoto has been up before the ref gets to a 2, but they are still knockdowns (note Japan no longer uses the 3 knockdown rule so Ishimoto can be dropped again here, would be the first time it's happened since the rule change.)

    30-24 Kakinaga

Ishimoto now seems to know he has to do something and he has put his foot on the gas, eating counters as a result but he is doing much better than he had been doing. Kakinaga still finding too many holes and manages to generate the space he wants, Ishimoto just missing with his straight shots and Kakinaga picking him off with counter shots.

    Another Kakinaga round.

Lots of movement from Kakinaga and Ishimoto simply doesn't know what to do with it, lovely right hands from Kakinaga, sharp jabs from Kakinaga, 1-2 by Kakinaga, Ishimoto is holding his own with the air but not with Kakinaga. Ref calls a halt...ooooh that's a nasty cut under Ishimoto's left eye-right in corner, dr says fight on!
Ishimoto slips...the blood is dripping down his face, and another straight right right on the eye, and another.

    50-42

Ishimioto's team pouring water, from the drink bottle, into his cut o_O

    6-
Round is immediately stopped for Ishimoto to get his gum shield, his team were too busy giving his cut a drink to get it back in, 2 hard rights...and 2 more from Kakinaga, Ishimoto falling short a lot with his shots, 2 more straight right hands from Ishimoto...and another, Ishimoto continues to fall short with his shots and Kakinaga now handling him with just movement and jabs.

Blood all over Ishimoto's face...but that's not going to get him a symapthy point. 60-51.

The 22 year old Kakinaga could go places if he can add a bit more power.

Another 6 round Super Flyweight bout, sees Ryo Matsubara (4-1, 4)v Dejchai Bovigym (0-2)*

*Bovigym is listed on screen as being 10-9-1 (1) which is believable given than Boxrec have terribly incomplete records for Thai's.

    1-
Matsubara goes straight to the Thai and looks to to use his power, the Thai certainly looks to be more experienced than the boxrec 0-2 record and is fighting off the backfoot and holding when he needs to. Matsubara corner Bovigym and unloads, and now they move to another corner...Matsubara continues to unload, a body shot sends the Thai down...and he doesn't raise until after the 10.

    KO 1 Matsubara!

Was a series of body shots that hurt the Thai then a hard left hook sent him down for the count. Exciting kid.

Chief support bout now. Another Super Flyweight bout, but this one is set for 8 rounds and sees Gushiken fighter Ryuto Maekawa (10-0-1, 6) face Filipino Bimbo Nacionales (13-10-1, 3)*.

I don't think much of Maekawa...but Bimbo has been stopped 9 times...

*Bimbo is listed on screen as 14-9-1 (2) and Maekawa is 6-0-1 (2), Maekawa has however fought bouts in Thailand which aren't included on his JBC record.

    1-
Nacionales tagged hard after 20 seconds...in fact Nacionales looks 2 or 3 weight classes smaller than Maekawa, Nacionales trying to to use his speed and movement but he's going to get bullied here when ever the unbeaten local comes forward...and Nacionales is down in his own corner...clear shot after he was down...he takes the count...
Maekawa gets a 1st round KO win, but still not sold on him and the shot when Nacionales was down was dirty...referee seemed to suggest he shouldn't do it again in the future when he walked over after the count...
