I don't see where Ortiz found three rounds for Naidjala, honestly.

...or even where Trella saw two.

Elaborate, almost pompous entrance for DK.

Orchestral theme, garbed in traditional costume of some kind with a square golden headdress and giant wooden beads wreathed around his neck hanging down to his crotch.

...instrumental, but Solis begins to sing along...the only man in the building doing so. (members of his camp are mouthing the words and clapping along rhythmically or pumping their fists in the air while smiling but his is the only voice...awkward )

 

Lupe Contreras introduces Minmi, who according to Google is Japan's leading female rap & reggae artist. :huh

She is singing their anthem, in a kimono with a Carmen Miranda inspired arrangement of flowers sitting on half of her dome.

...edit: just realized they are probably broadcasting this back home for Solis on Latin-American television, so Contreras' presence is probably for their benefit. The poor locals must be so confused though, not a word of Japanese spoken in the main event ceremonies.

 

Round 1

Kameda is jabbing the body and then standing up tall, dancing around on the outside. Solis is half-stepping in with his lead foot, tossing a jab between Kameda's gloves. 1-2 by Solis, lunging in. Kameda backs away in time. Left hook to the body by Kameda slipping under a Solis right hand. Kameda is keeping a distance, circling and stepping in lightly with feints before pulling out a few steps. Body shot by Kameda barreling in as Solis cuffs him atop the head. Kameda gets outside and flicks jabs up at the head. Solis catches them on his palm.

Correct. Solis was roughly 40oz over. If he loses, Kameda will unify the belts. If Kameda loses, they will probably elevate Kaovichit (WBA interim) to regular champ.

 

Round 2

Kameda is drawing the lead jab from Solis, bouncing up and down in place on the outside after walking a full revolution around him. Kameda is popping in body shots and hunkering low, exposing the back of his head to Solis while propping up against him and holding on. Uppercuts on the longer frame of Kameda by Solis, forcing Kameda to back off. Left hook by Kameda as he goes. Another dive in by Kameda. Solis pushes down on Kameda, onto all fours on the canvas, and is warned by Tony Weeks.

Round 3

Kameda is walking into uppercuts and sweeping roundhouses as Solis keeps working steadily and carpet-bombing so that Kameda is forced to get hit despite Solis being relatively slow-handed. Body shots by Kameda after stepping through some fire and blocking some but not all of it. Big left hook on the inside by Kameda, making Solis' arms flail in the air like a highway car dealership inflatable waving tube-man (non-Americans won't understand this, sorry). Best punch of the night.

10-9 Solis, too much work for Kameda to steal it with just the sweet left hook.
