ITV were the first to start showing fights in the early hours.

Can still remember watching Tysons early world title fights on ITV.

shame that terrestrial TV can't compete with the likes of Sky.

 

Makes total sense with the Channel Five/Hennessey speculation- Mick clearly has heightened ambitions given the Blackwell/Eubank Jr fight being in a relatively big arena.

As for ITV, boxing could be an ideal fit now they've lost the Champions League/FA Cup. Put the vast majority of fights on ITV4 with say Haye on ITV1. I'd be wary of the PPV channel talk- it's incredibly difficult to get such a platform off the ground because of Sky's dominance. I suspect Hobson would put a few shows on ITV too.

Could make Boxnation's existence tricky given dates/logistics etc.

 

In the article he sounds quite upbeat bar the PPV idea which he scotches.

Have Sauerlands still got a deal with Matchroom? If not I'd imagine they could be involved.

It looks as though Haymon is wanting to bring the PBC over here starting in the first week of June from what the article says.

If PBC involved then you can imagine DeGale and Selby could feature plus Haymon will look to sign some of the bigger names.

 

hopefully they get haye so i can continue to ignore him and his sideshow fights.

 

Dont think the Sauerland brothers have skydeal more that they get on with Eddie and have George so they Co-Promote odd show.

Would be be good to see Sauerlands along with Hayemaker/Cyclone get ITV. Groves/Frampton/Haye/Price all very polular in british market.

If they had a PPV platform they would deffo have names to host PPV events.
