Haye has always said he is in boxing for the toughest challenges and not for the money. He didn't want to fight soft opposition coming up and not prepare himself for world level and he didn't wanna become a paper champion beating the weakest belt holder and defending agaisnt sub par opponents. he said this is what would happen if he was with Warren, and he is right because thats what Warren has done with every world champion he has had.

Rob, greatest respect but you are starting to get a bit emotional about this...Haye and every other boxer is in it at some point for the money, the way you are whacking on you expect DH to be like some sort of heavyweight avenging shaolin monk who just fights for respect and a handful of rice. Haye operates in a dangerous environment and he has his family to consider if anything should happen to him.

I should have never bought into the Haye hype but i did. It wont happen again. Honestly i think the money has changed him. I could tell u a few stories about what Haye is like these days its pretty sad tbh. haye winning the title against Mormeck is France was one of my favourite boxing moments as i had followed his career from the amateur world championships.

I never felt embarrassed by by it. you can say what you want but i have an opinion and i will stand up for it, whether a boxer posts on here or not. also notice if someone explains something to me i am open to changing that opinion, just nobody ever gave me a good enough reason for Limmond calling himself world champion when he was fighting super featherweights with HIV.

And the reality is that legacy's great, but it doesn't pay the bills or put food on the table. Haye was smart, he was a millionaire well before he beat Mormeck.

I know you're really passionate about boxing, Rob, but you sound like you're about to have a heart attack. I don't see what's to get upset about - there's no evidence, none at all, that Haye has turned down K2's offer. There's no evidence that he's facing Audley. There's no evidence of anything he's doing.

Even if he wasn't subject to a gag order, what would he say. It's the golden rule of public relations - don't comment on speculation. Some fans may find that frustrating, but that's just tough ****. He doesn't answer to you. You can either buy or not buy his fight. That's pretty much it.

I think I've said elsewhere that I'd be really disappointed, because it's a meaningless fight. What does it prove except that Haye is much much better than Audley? I won't pay for Sky PPVs anyway since I hate the company so much - I always watch the fight at a friend's or at the pub. Just take my laptop with me (we have some swanky pubs).

That said, Haye's last five opponents were:

Ruiz - never beaten easily and many thought Ruiz had a good chance
Valuev - beaten once by Chagaev
Barrett - nothing great, but a decent re-debut at HW and a good performance
Maccarinelli - the consensus no.2 at CW at the time in a 50-50 fight
Mormeck - the unified CW champ who'd just beaten Bell

That's pretty good going. Truthfully, he'll want US tv whatever he does - so I expect if it's not a Klitschko, it'll be Adamek.

A resigned  type of look, maybe even :verysad. Not a good fight but I'd understand the reasons behind it.

does anyone know if this "50-50 with no options " offer was real or fabricated

im just sayin people seem to be laying it out as fact ,but i would think wlad would come out and revel in tellig us about what haye had turned down

i sk becuase i feel haye would snap his ****ing hand off with an offer like that

Fair enough Rob, as Icemax says don't let it get to you that Haye isn't any different from 99.9% of the other boxers out there and make too much out of it because you feel lied to or "fooled" by Haye.

Its ancient history but I didn't really see the harm in Limond putting the WBU tag on the fight in order to sell a few more tickets, it was WBU title fight after all. No worse than others have done, he seemed to get more aggro over it purely because he came on here and was accessable to "have a pop" at. Like I say though, ancient history!

No-one except for Booth, Haye, the brothers and their teams. That's it. Which is why people using one crappy Dan Rafael comment and something from the Daily Fascist as sources really annoys me.

Everytime I think of the fight,i just cant believe there's even any suggestion of it being on. It makes me laugh more than getting me angry tho.

Thread is bollocks (says the thread starter )

Eddie Hearn said on Buncey's show literally a minute ago that there have been no offers either way. They haven't offered Haye anything and Haye hasn't made an offer to Audley.
