BOXER Ricky Hatton was taken to hospital with chest and stomach pains yesterday after a comedy tour of Ireland. The Hitman, who was KO'd by Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in May, was kept in for a series of tests. But last night, agent Paul Speak said: "He's on the mend. He just texted me saying he's feeling a lot better. "I expect he'll be back home inside a couple of days." Hatton, 30, was taken to Tameside Hospital, near his home in Gee Cross, Cheshire. He fell ill during a tour of Ireland with his popular stand-up comedy routine. Speak added: "We were on our theatre tour and both ate something which didn't agree with us. Ricky complained of pains in his stomach, cramps and nausea and was vomitting. "When we got back at the weekend, he wasn't feeling well and got gradually worse. "Last night, he was feeling pretty rough and his girlfriend Jennifer took him to the A& E at Tameside first thing in the morning." Hatton had completed three stand-up performances in Ireland.
