Dalido ducking Loma rematch!

To be fair, he is remarkable fighter. Not anywhere near Loma's level and he did cheat in every way imaginable, but the man fought the who's who of the p4p list near pr at his weight class.

 

Salido "WON" the first fight and has done more and deserves more. He was the "WINNER" Kevin. Top Rank has a habit of trying to short change the winner of fights, such as the case with a Pacquiao vs Marquez 5 fight. Marquez wants a fair share of what he helped create and Manny owes him that because he has not had PPV success since that fight ( minus Mayweather of course). The same applies to Lomachenko vs Salido.

If Haymon managed to get Tank Davis a fight next month for Lomachenkos belt people would flip out and say, "What has Davis done to deserve a shot?" Same was stated when Loma got a shot at Salido's title for absolutely nothing.:-(

Loma is seeking the rematch Salido isn't and he has the right to ask for whatever damn price he feels like it isn't like the fight is mandated. If Loma wants him so badly he will pay him. Loma did nothing to deserve the first fight anyway. Who are you to say he is pricing himself out? Have you been boxing at the top of the sport putting your health on the line? F*ck no your an armchair warrior calling a Vet like Salido a piece of garbage for trying to secure his financial future.

We honestly need to sticky a boxing vocabulary and definition thread so posters understand basic boxing vocabulary.

Salido is a bigger draw than Lomachenko and won their first fight. As far as I can tell from the numbers discussed as well, this is more a case of Klimas and Top Rank lowballing him than Salido overvaluing himself.

 

Lomachenko's manager is offering him chicken feed. Salido is Lomachenko's conquerer and has a much bigger fanbase. Salido isn't chasing anything, Lomachenko is.
Give Salido 65% of the purse. Other Greats including the main money man, FMJ had to get in line, so Egis is deluded if he thinks Lomachenko should skip this step.
Enjoy fighting bums I guess or plastic belt holders like Sosa. How that can make a boxer feel significant, and make them feel like they are 'world champion' is beyond me. That bubble needs to be burst, world champ is something you have to be the best of the best to achieve and prove it.

 

Sad truth, this is the paid ranks. That means you 'do whatever you can get away with'. That is the aim of the game and you have to embody that as a boxer, fundamentally.

 

The words "Loma" and "draw" should only be in the same sentence if you are writing something along the lines of "Loma is not a draw." Salido-Vargas popped one of HBO's few bright spot ratings of the year, while Lomachenko's last main event was almost Rigondeaux-Agbeko bad.

 

The thing is, I know what I'm talking about. People looked at Lomachenko vs Jose Ramirez and thought it was an amazing performance. Having seen 50 of his fights prior, many times over and in slow motion, I realised how awful he was boxing compared to what he usually does.

The fact is, as a huge fan of Lomachenko, Salido is absolutely Loma's daddy and made him look like a lost boy and has a MUCH, MUCH larger fanbase, more fan friendly style and has that W and isn't even chasing a rematch. This fight is therapy for Lomachenko, Salido is busy partying away, he doesn't need Loma.

 

And that was against a known Puerto Rican long standing/consistent beltholder, on Puerto Rican day parade, their day.

None of the arguments in favour of Egis Klimas (Loma's manager make any sense). And no one gives a **** that Loma 'has more talent', well it's time to actually prove yourself just like Money May had to, and be quiet and get on with it.

 

The most annoying part is that Loma would've given into wage demands just to prove himself, but Egis is being an idiot. Loma fans are not obliged to defend Egis.
