Hearn really is insufferable. Even worse tonight than he was after AJ's last win.

The fight has been mandated and it wont look good on Azim's side if they vacate instead of fighting Smith. Not sure why it would be on Azim's terms?

Because they want him , and he just wants some time to build his experience.. no problem in vacating for Azim as he has bigger ambitions then Smith to be respectful.. but as I said if Eddie wants Smith to lose domestically rather than them both chasing world title so be it .. trust me when Adam is ready he will take out Smith in style .. there are levels to this ..

If Azim vacates and fights someone better than Smith than yes but we both know that is not going to happen.

He will vacate and fight to build his experience as he has only had 10 fights , it's just basic building blocks to build up a fighter specially someone at Azim's age ..

So you win the title and then vacate when a certain opponent gets mandated lol. As I said I have no doubt Azim would happily take the fight but if his team swerve it they are saying Azim isnt ready. Nothing wrong with that but the optics and perception will be Azim has ducked Smith.

People can think what they want , fact is Azim is 21 and Smith is 27 ... Azim's time will come real soon not just for Smith but anyone in the 140lbs division..

Exactly, they know how good Azim is. He is only 21, they are desperate to try and get him now while young and inexperienced before he vanishes off to a level Smith will likely never reach.

I imagine they are also mentioning Azims name every 2 mins due to his much larger profile and trying anything they can to make people aware of Dalton as now 16 fights in and they are still having to use seat filler sites giving out freebies to even quarter fill Sheffield arena

Dalton smith would beat Azim comfortably imo, azim doesn’t impress me that much

This is exactly what it is ...Eddie knows how good Azim is and he knows he will only improve..get him now while he in development.. it's desperate for a 27yr guy still waiting for a world title shot .. Azim is 6 years younger ... Where will Azim be in 6 years? .. again as I said there are levels to this .. What Azim has is God gifted in terms of hand speed , power, reflexes , and that can't be taught in the gym you either have it or not ...

if we compare with a similar fight against another cynically picked over-the-hill Mexican former world champion (Vargas v Ball)…the tone is completely different. effusive praise v complete lack of enthusiasm.

I'll be bold and say Dalton is levels above Azim and Azim will never be as good as Dalton is now. I just don't see it.
