Feel like the win last night is getting blown out of proportion was a great fight and win but he got hit way too much and even looked hurt at the end of the 4th round can't see him beating anyone with actual boxing skills and not just a slugger, fights with hitchens/Stevenson will look a bit like mason v noakes - he'll have moments and make for a good fight but the boxer will win

I'm sympathetic to that argument. Stevenson is a bridge too far, and Hitchens would be a difficult fight. But those two are tough outs for anyone at 140.

Smith, however, is considerably more dynamic (fast, explosive etc) than Noakes. To land an absolute precision strike of a right hand while tired and in the middle of a war, like Smith did immediately before the KO shot, was nothing short of brilliant.

    Smith ruins Hitchins

He'd spark Azim right now too @Darni187

Remember him after a win saying he was coming for him

What happened? Did he take a wrong turning or something?

I was firmly in the Azim beats Smith camp until that Matias fight. He's just stood in the pocket for 5 rounds and outgunned the hardest puncher at 140, before winning by stoppage, which nobody else has done before against Matias. Azim has skills, but he has beaten nobody.

If Matias couldn't hurt Smith that much, then I don't see how Azim manages it. As somebody else pointed out, he puts his chin up in the air, and we have not seen whether he can take a decent shot yet. It's a great fight, and I hope it gets made, but unless Azim beats someone like Puello or Sandor Martin in the same fashion Smith beat Matias, then my money is now on Smith by KO.

Huh? Smith is a boxer puncher and he has actual very good boxing skills himself. He literally abandoned them vs Matias in order to stand and trade with him and he beat him at his own game which was actually really impressive. Matias is a machine and 'slick' boxers Hitchins and Haney shamelessly ducked him like crazy.

Literally everyone gets hit vs Matias, as said, he's a machine and even if you do try and outbox him you're going to get hit with plenty of shots because he throws a ton of them and as soon as you pause for a second from moving, punching, or as has often been the case tying him up and holding (Puello, Paro and even Smith) he will immediately start unloading with shots from both hands thick and fast and that coupled with his iron chin and engine make him a nightmare to fight

That's a fair shout, the thing is Adam wouldn't stand in the pocket and punch it out with Dalton , Adam is a complete different fighter , fast hands , fast feet, controls range , patient, works everything off the jab.

I've heard a few people say he leaves his chin up in the air ,but I've only seen it a few times later on in fights I guess that's when Adam is comfortable up close and kind of worked out his opponents style it's more of a I know I'm doing it but you can't do nothing to me

Adam has very good natural reflexes to avoid shots and defensively much better than Dalton who last night took a fair share of shots too. it was like a shoot out but Dalton was just the more fresher guy but even so them types of fights take a little out of you. I saw Dalton face later looks busted up.

It's a great domestic fight and I hope it happens in the near future , if Adam can get a world title too this year then makes it a massive domestic world unification fight ..I've got Adam winning on points
