Herrera and Peterson fights prove that DSG can win a bout by winning no more than 5 rounds. Postol is not a KO artist and there's no way he can decisively win more than 7 rounds against Garcia, so he has no chance. Moreover he has no following and fighting him would make no sense for Garcia.

That aside, Malignaggi is still a very poor fight. He should've fought someone active and relevant to the division, someone like Diego Chaves perhaps.

 

I would have loved to see Danny vs a number of 140lbs Provo, Postol rematch Herrera but fact is he just grew out of the division from what I've heard he was killing himself to make weight.

Garcia has spent all of his political capital and now even as the legit champion of a division isn't even seen as one of the top 4 guys anymore in his own division.

Diego Chaves is a top rank fighter now. He signed an exclusive contract with them after the Rios fight.

Postol would've been a stylistic nightmare for Garcia. Easily, his toughest fight at 140 lbs., and he completely ducked him to fight Peterson and then completely vacated.

I'd also say Postol would've been tougher than a Herrera rematch.

Well, Postol/Matthysse is a bit harder to pick anyways. More competitive than Garcia/Postol would've been.

 

Pauli match up is a travesty. I mean Pauli looks like **** for years now.
