    By Broner

I hope this is not the Burns opponent

No doubt he would happily collect a cheque

    So predictable Doyle.
Did you get the idea from my post or think that up all by yourself?

What if there was a Lightweight super-six and this was a second round fight? Kessler was coming off a thrashing when Froch fought him.

Some people are just desperate to stir it up.

    Yeah comment was correct.

but also Demarco was beaten bad by Broner.

Any fight Burns takes now will naturally be compared to the man he is clearly avoiding.

A demarco is not a bad fight per say- but compared to Broner it is.

Come on,given that Ricky's been slaughtered for not fighting anyone,Demarco or any of the other top four or five at the weight would be a good place to start.

And I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way,but although I think Ricky would win handily,he'd find it a bit tougher than Broner did.
At least in the first half.
And DeMarco would be fighting for his career, which makes him very dangerous.

normally I would agree here however there is such a gulf between broner and the other top ten that it warrants it

    Tony is dangerous for Ricky.

I agree, and you and I discussed the "how good is DeMarco" thing in better detail before.
I agree he's always going to struggle against three-dimensional fighters, but my worry for Ricky is that he may take a bit longer to sicken DeMarco than Broner did.
And as I said, the fact his career is on the line alone makes him dangerous.

The thing is, like Burns he's "pretty good at everything but great at nothing". He's also a level above Rocky Martinez.

Also, styles make fights. Burns simply isn't going to be able to do to a guy like DeMarco what Broner did.
