Bollox, he's feather fisted. He just has such a high skill level he can do what he wants. His opponents can't walk him down because they can't hit him.

His recent KO record shows he's feather fisted, his only KO since coming out of retirement was a sucker punch ffs.

Those last two gifs are not defensive rolls. There was no turning of the torso away from the punch. Canelo's was.

His defense is pretty good and he improves with every fight. I'm sure he'll take a lot away from the Mayweather fight. Canelo can fight in the Mexican style, and he's slowly but surely learning the American style. Look what he did against Trout. If he stays disciplined, Canelo's going to give us some great fights in the next decade.

Feather fisted yet in his last few fights he's been walking his opponents down, in order to do that you must have some pop otherwise again like I've said opponents would have walked right through him.

Feather fisted yet he has 26 stoppages from 45 fights.

Sugar Shane - never been stopped
    Marquez - never been stopped
Oscar - had only ever been stopped from a body shop by B-Hop at 160
    Guerrero - never been stopped
    Canelo - never been stopped

    Bull****.

He couldn't evcen get a shot to **** Cotto out of there ffs.

It's not that he hasn't stopped anyone, he hasn't even hurt anyone since coming out of retirement. The majority of his KOs where down at 130 and below, they mean nothing at 154+.

Opponents have tried to walk right through him, Cotto tried, Ortiz tried. It wasn't power that kept them off, it was his accuracy and the fact that they couldn't hit him even when they had him cornered.

He's as featherfisted as Andre Ward.

    decade?

in the two fights canelo has had against prime 154's he was been pretty much outlanded by twice as many punches in 13 of the 24 rounds.

he has only outlanded trout and floyd in five of those 24 rounds and by one single punch in two of those rounds. he never outlanded floyd or trout by twice as many punches in any round in either fight.

of the four 154's that came to fight (rhodes, mosley, trout, floyd) all four fighters went into the 12th round with the 5'7" fighter with short legs who lacks any one punch power in either hand.

and the punchstats are just going to get worse once he fights molina, who is a poor mans version of yory boy campas.

canelo, other than the fact that he showed to have good skin that does not cut easily, could not have had a worse performance in the floyd fight.

my over/under for canelo relevancy is two years unless he can make 147.

at 154 he is at best a contender and at 160 a gatekeeper.

Why Canelo gets so over praised? That's why people clown him so much in some of this threads, because of his delusional fans ( not all of them ) who can't comprehend Canelo can have all the pounds he wants and simply doesn't have the style to beat floyd

Its almost a week after the fight, move on already, let it go ffs

Yes and no. He began to go through motions of rolling with it, before it connected - and forcibly spun him around to give his own rear shoulder a smooch.

You think all that range of motion was voluntary on his part?

He meant to roll it, but got rolled by it. :good

It's like a surfer bracing to crest a big wave, doing everything right technically, and still getting wiped out and taken under.
