Yeah hopefully Floyd doesn't back out now. He deserves credit if he signs the contract, but if he doesn't he deserves scorn and ridicule for another fiasco. Boxing needs him to sign for the fight, I hope he does it. It is a great match-up. Nothing is settled until he signs on the dotted line.

i believe all, "scared of" threads are started by idiots who have never been in an actual boxing match. floyd isnt scared, neither is mosley. chill

People read too much into things like this. Like someone else said, the DLH-Mayweather fight had a rematch clause as well. When a fight this big happens, if the fight is any good then a rematch is always demanded and usually generates as much if not more money. Also, i remember the Mayweather-Judah weigh in when it came time for the stare down, Floyd left the stage and everybody was saying Floyd was scared. It's all mind games as he went on to beat Judah in their fight. Nobody at this level is scared of the next man.

apparently most of you fools don't know how COMMON it is for a rematch clause to be drawn into a contract.

dont get overexcited here. a rematch clause is pretty much in every fight contract- in favour of the favorite in the fight- or the champion.

its much harder for the underdog to get a rematch clause- otherwise im sure shane would have one also. the justification is obviously - that a champion has right to get his title back- whereas a challenger only gets one bite at the cherry.

interestingly- Shane IS the champion of the two. but floyd has far more leverage here. and i think shane wants this fight so bad- he ll sign on a napkin with crayons.

rematch clauses have been around since the dawn of time, leonard had one with duran, ali and frazier, jesus had one with judas, caine had one with abel. etc ,etc. dont read too much into it- its more the lawyers and promoters looking out for their fighter- and following a fighting tradition- than floyd having insecurities.

if he was scared of shane- why would he want to fight him twice??
