father time is undefeated. that simple. That did not look anything like the Gamboa I remember he was less than a shell of himself.

Looks like he's done alright. Nice win for Robin Hood though...

I agree that calling Robin Hood a nobody and making him out to be a bum is selling him way too short, but I still consider this a cherry pick gone wrong.

Gamboa's team found a fringe contender that was coming off a stoppage loss and who hadn't fought in a year, then pulled him up 2 divisions. Gamboa's old, so they found someone as old as he was.

Nobody planned on Hood carrying his power up. This was supposed to be a showcase fight to put Gamboa in the running for a Lomachenko match.

Didn't see it but heard that Oscar was near tears in the post-fight talk with Teddy, et. al. Oscar had a bad night re Gamboa's quitting and Abraham Lopez's getting destroyed. I'd like to see Oscar have bad nights back-to-back now.

Wasn't his career already going down, hence the fight with a much larger Crawford to resurrect his career?

castellanos is good . he knows what he is doing in there. the losses were early in his career . hes prolly a pure mexican who turned pro super young to take care of his family and took a bunch of losses due to poor mgmt and such. but still if this how it played essentially those early fight you just look at like the ams which is pretty much practice n where you learned. n he made a turn around so he must of learned alot in those defeats because hes been fighting upper level competition for last few years n hes competing with everyone so this dude deserves his props he isnt a nobody this guy can hang with sum good fighters.

Someone really needs to start a petition calling for the sanctioning bodies and boxing commissions across the globe to allow Cuban fighters to wear crash helmets in the ring. How much Cuban glass has to get shattered before somebody does something about this? The mandible sections of these poor Cuban chaps simply were not designed to withstand being hit with any type of force at all.

Would you critique the color pattern of the crash helmet in comparison to trunks and shoes...???

 Naturally. That said, I love the Cuban flag and colour scheme. It's one of the coolest flags in the world IMO so if they stick to those colours they'll receive nothing but praise for their CCA from me.

Unfortunately for Gamboa he didn't do that last night though. Stupid clown thought he'd try and be adventurous and add a fourth colour into the mix and it came back and bit him in his ass hard. His entire ring attire consisted of the colours of his countries flag. Everything was perfectly coordinated with the tried and tested Cuban red, white and blue. However, on the back of his shorts on one side he was also sporting the colours of the Mexican flag: Red, white and green. This is a terrible fashion faux pas. You simply do not ever ever mix red, white, blue and green together.

Red, white and blue is great. Red, white and green is great if they're the same shades of those colours on the Mexican flag. But red, white, blue AND green is simply unforgivable, hence why he wound up getting his ass bounced up and down off the canvas and stopped.

Look at how beautiful this looks

Now check out how ugly the addition of the green makes that look

100% agree that Bud finished Gamboa's career. I've got to say though Crawford was sooo much bigger than Gamboa in their bout, reminded me of Pacquiao v Margarito

Gamboa was imo the better boxer until Crawford imposed his size and took over. The size differential was just too much.
