i know what u mean. i used to work out at windy city gym before he made it big and i can tell u...he was very intimidating in the gym. he's not a small guy...and back then...he was fast and had great skills for a guy his size. everyone in the gym thought he would be a champion. it's kind of sad the way things turned out.
Kind of sad??? Try very, VERY sad. He had the build & tools to be a great HW! Just one can short of a 6-pack, I guess. :-(
yeah...i think he still has a chance to be champion. i'd favor him over a few of the current beltholders in the heavyweight division.
If he beats Mollo & doesn't look so bad, he'd have a good chance against Maskaev & Chagaev looks like a small HW. I guess he beat Valuev cause the giant couldn't find him.
Man, It is something about unscripted natural crazyness that is just cool for the sport of boxing. We need a Golota right now.
****, I've met him and he seemed like a regular guy. I didn't even consider that he probably had a gun on him, or 2 or 3. Damn, I'll probably get nightmares now.
Boxing has always had more than its share of legendary characters, creeps, clowns, criminals & crazies. But Golata is in a class of his own, one bizzare step at a time he seems to take wierdness to new levels. He's finally earned a special place in boxing's world of freaks & wackos- he could be their king! He was a damned good fighter, his battles with Bowe were awsome. And very disturbing. No sporting event made me feel so queezy as when Tyson made him cry. I wonder what he'll do next.
JC...you bet $10,000 on Golota?????????????????????????? Now I know your Golota!:good Bets of luck Andrezj. Beat the living GUWNO outta him!!!:bbb
yeah i'm sure some of us might have tried it. he may have actually just showed the honorary badge to impress the cop to let him go. with golota's broken english it's hard to know what he's saying and the cop could've misinterpreted him.
