I agree with that. There is a place for trash talk in boxing imo, if done correctly. Some guys haven't the grace or wit to not make themselves look like classless pricks.

I haven't completely ignored the heavies since Lewis, there is obviously always potential for a good scrap. But the same can be said for two drunks fighting downing an alley. Here we have two guys who are in proper shape, and badly want to win. That' s sport, a bunch of Butterbean clones leaning on each other isn't. That's why I'm so excited.

The five time Super Bowl Champion San Francisco 49ers were never allowed by their head coaches (Bill Walsh, Georger Seifert) to trash talk to the media about the other team before a game, even when the 49ers were a huge point spread favorite. The logic being not to give the opponent any extra motivation. The 49ers would then go on to destroy the other team while covering the point spread. SF 49ers were the best bet in Las Vegas for 15 years :yep
