If Chauncy gets the fight vs. Friday, it will be a real war with Chauncy taking the fight by decision.

I do still hold the title. Shane didn't defend his title for so long they ended up having a few different champions and I beat Daniel Tai for the title. Shanes lat NZ title fight was March of '05.
I will be defending my NZ title sometime before years end.
My weight was up to 309lbs as of May and totay it was 270lbs. I still want it to get lower, and I will be 260lbs range for my next fight but barring any injuries, I would like to hold in the 250 and fight in the 240 range. I know it wil take time to get there, but now that I got the ok to run on my hip, I will be in great shape for whenever it is that I fight.
I fond out at begining of the year that my hip needs replaced and had to stay off it for awhile, and I admit, I balooned up. I should've kept on a diet, but I got lazy and a little depressed about my hip and just ate... A bunch!
    :thumbsup

Ah it all becomes clear.... as mud lmfao
Good to hear you're on the mend mate, and sounds like you're trying to get the weight under control - I know that battle, it's hard but worth it at the other end.
The issue with you holding the NZ title Chauncy is the vast experience gulf between you and the rest of the guys over here - not your fault at all, but we need someone to have some real wars with you to give the belt back a bit of meaning if you know what I mean.
I'm hopeful that Duco is going to make a fist of running regular fight nights, maybe not on the FOTC 's level but at the very least regular, well matched events - maybe twice a year, and we'll need guys like you taking on all comers to keep them afloat. Hopefully that'll get the sport the profile that it deserves and will consequently a new generation of boxers. Should be good for you to - I know it must sometimes be a struggle finding fights.
Anyways best wishes - hope you find a fight on the FOTC.

Fair enough, most of those fights seem to be pretty interesting right now. But he's just had a chance to get in there with Chauncy and turned it down in favour of Big Col - doesn't bode well for him taking those sort of fights in the future...
I could see Bobby knocking Hoppa's block off :bbbIs he still with DKP in the US?

Chauncy, you said that Luis can dictate terms for you to fight Friday in the FOTC. I thought the promoter, Mr Higgins, did this. Why would you need to work out a $$$ deal with your opponent

I know Luis very well, and he will say there isn't enough money. I was just sweetening the pot for them that way they can't say no.:deal
Friday is a very good fighter and me and him would make a very solid match that would work great on this card. :thumbsup

I don't know what is taking them so long to put up the piece bro. But I have emailed them twice now, so hopefully they get it up on the front page soon.

I'm looking forward more to this fight than the Roy Jones Green circus.
A has been/vs an average aussie who wouldn't have been mentioned in the same sentence as Roy at his peak.

Win or lose against Shane Cameron, David Tua probably won't be fighting again in New Zealand any time soon - according to the NZ press.

A cut-price $50,000-a-fight three-fight deal with Maori TV agreed to clear the decks for next week's million-dollar showdown with Cameron in Hamilton has been described by Tua's worldwide promotor Cedric Kushner as a major impediment to finding meaningful opponents for future bouts.

Chauncey If the money is good Friday would jump at the chance, I will grab ahold of Luis asap if it is assured that this fight could be a realistic venture . Friday loved it in NZ when he stopped Shane and he is bored of having no fights for over a year since his beating the previous unbeaten Alonzo Butler in Las Vegas. Friday walked away from Luis for that fight not for the first time because of many small differences, but i do know they are working together on getting a very good major money fight, having had a decent indian summer beating his last 2 opponents and both being previously a lot younger and undefeated. Friday, Luis and Layla are always talk fondly of you Chauncey, and It would make money sense allround.. You look a lot better on the photos mate since you have whipped yourself into shape and a fight with Friday could be a possibility , but as you know it all depends on how much pull it would have cashwise over there.. I will message Friday later to see what he thinks.. God Bless bro... peace , Stephen J... btw , i have been around Friday since 1996, and i know the way he is thinking about his career now, he needs the fights that pay..... Crocodile always hollers at me and asks if i have seen you around, he is probably your biggest fan.. Layla got a load of her personal photos out last time we were at their house and you and Dewey were on most of them when you were all yound lads.. great to look back at great memories.. I will like i say see if that fight is possible mate... talk back soon...

Why not? Roy has fought and defended titles against PLENTY worse than Danny Green.

Hoppa VS Col could be interesting due to Cols style....hes often hard to fight but I think Hoppa stops him late.......maybe 9th round....ummmmm how many rounds is this fight anyway :huh
