Clear you have several pages with people seeing it otherwise !Clear learn how to watch a fight there was nothing clear about that decision ..You must be realated to the ring side judges who tallied up by far some of the worst scores in recent times !

Clearly there are alot of MAB fans in this forum, so to try and rewrite history by claiming that MAB deserved to win vs JMM is not going to make it so.

When the fight was fresh from being fought, there was a fair share that came in here and commenting that they thought MAB may have edged it.....
.....very few would argue when the fight was clear in everybodies minds the intangibles on why MAB was the deserved winner in their eyes.

Just about every boxing site had JMM the clear winner, with a few exceptions.

The further away removed from the fight, the more daring the MAB fans to claim robbery, as the fight is not as fresh in most minds as it was right after the contest.

Get a grip friends, HBO and Harold Lederman saying that MAB is off to winning the first several rounds of the match does'nt make it so......
.....learn to score proffesional boxing for yourself lads!:hey

Here's a thread just recently held a couple of days ago in this very forum.....initially it was all MAB fans jumping in to make their vote which early on gave MAB a sizeable lead, but the forum caught on to this injustice and the more reasonable members of this forum came in to make their mark......

Here's the link, as you can see.....JMM has a sizeable lead on who the members of this forum think won their fight!
    Read it and weep!:deal :yep

You cant rewrite history friends, settle down, whats been done is done!!!:deal :yep

Gerry Cooney once said of his fight with Larry Holmes.....
....."Everytime I view the fight on video tape, I see it closer and closer, one of these days I'm actually going to view it and win the thing!"

......There go the mindset of the MAB fans!:yep

Even the people hired to do the scoring don't usually know how to score a fight ..And forget the HBO announcing crew they call huge wild misses as accurate shots ..

And regardless of what a few media types thought not everyone is in agreement ..

I had it 116-111 for Marquez, no robbery, its ridiculous to call it like that.

The right man who put everything he had in this fight won, Juan Manuel Marquez should not be put down or discredited.

    116-112 is 8 rounds to 4
.....the point deducted form MAB made it 116-111

    I had it 117-110 or 9 rounds to 3

I felt that Marquez clearly won most of the rounds he got credited for, while MAB eeked out the rounds he won!

.....at the end of the day, there's absolutely no shame in competing and losing to JMM!

I don't have a problem w/JMM winning the fight but I didn't feel he won and nor did I think it was by a UD ..**** JMM will certainly be a HOF but my issue is with the officiating ..To me it was a roberry !

If you have any fighter winning, then its a UD decision in your eyes. Because only you are scoring the fight. You even went to say that you don't have a problem with JMM winning the fight, but you didn't feel he won, and and it should not have been a UD. Then to make it sound even more silly, you even said it was a "robbery".

If you score a fight, then whoever wins, thats the way it should be.

I had De La Hoya beating Trinidad, and in my opinion the judges got it wrong. So why would I say it should have been a SD, and I don't have a problem with Trinidad winning. Clearly I do have a problem with Trinidad winning the fight.

Imperial, this is by no means an attempt to make fun of your knowleadge......
....maybe you're a young fan, or fairly new to the sport of boxing, but anyways, a UD means that all three judges ruled one fighter the winner.

Each judge could have scored the fight 12 rounds to 0 or they could have scored 7 rounds to 5......in each case whether its by the wide score of 12 to 0 or close score of 7-5, the deciscion in both cases is unanimous.
Unanimous means all the judges were in agreement of the winner, the score disparity does'nt matter.

A majority decision means means two judges scored for one fighter, and the other had it a draw.

.....and a split decision means that two judges scored for one fighter, and one for the other.

I'm not certain if you understood what those terms meant, but if you did'nt, thats the breakdown.

Again, thats not a putdown to you, I've known many fans of boxing who did'nt know what the terms meant.

.......anytime somebody is'nt quite sure what a term means, by all means ask......this forum is loaded with posters who are more than glad to help in any question related to boxing!
......I myself am often educated by others in this forum!:thumbsup

    I think so too.

But it was a hell of a close fight. Both men could've won.

If only Jay Nady got it right and called a KD, it would surely be a win for MAB.
