    I've known about it for years, Telefutura/Univision/UniMás is headquartered in Florida, Doral to be exact, which is literally a stone's throw from where I was born, like around 10 miles away, but I had no idea they showed Boxing then either, I avoided the channel like the plague.:lol:

    Also in hindsight :lol::lol::lol: @ me then being yet unfamiliar with Giovanni Andrade and calling him "not a terrible opponent" based on a quick glance at BoxRec. Not long after this, after seeing him "perform" a few times and doing some more in-depth research on him I came to realize his was among the most padded W columns in the history of the sport. Complete fraud, who occasionally lands a date with somebody with a pulse and makes a moderate payday getting mopped up.

    Plus, that night pretty much spelled the end of Julio Cesar Garcia (whom I now didn't even remember at first, even after Googling him) - losing that match with Troy Browning by MD on ESPN2 FNF precipitated the beginning of the end for him, going 6-5 in the rest of his career and fading completely from relevance.

    So I had to look to see when JuanMa last fought. I figured he was finished long ago, so it came as a surprise to learn he's facing Wilfredo Vazquez Jr in just over a month.

    Same here, Rummy. Thought it happened earlier tonight and that I missed it for a minute... until I looked at the date.

    JuanMa should be retired by now (imo), even though he isn't.

    9 years :lol:

    Long time in boxing, especially for guy who began his career at Jr. Feather. He's been shot for at least 4 years and will probably get starched by Vasquez who at the very least appears to still be fairly durable despite being past his shelf date as well.
