Damn it! Showtime & HBO to overlap after all (triple-header and Super Six)

So, Showtime's super middleweight double-header begins at 9pm and HBO's triple-header (Caballero vs. Litzau, Berto vs. Hernandez, and Marquez vs. Katsidis) begins at 9:45pm.

My hope was that Ward vs. Bika would be shown first - therefore ending around 10pm and meaning it was possible to watch the HBO card instead of the tape-delay broadcast of Froch-Abraham (since many of us will probably have already watched it live earlier that evening).

SOMEHOW, Ward vs. Bika is "headlining" with Froch vs. Abraham as the opening act on Showtime.

Yes, Ward vs. Bika is a title fight...but so is Froch vs. Abraham. Besides...it's Froch vs. Abraham. It will be far more competitive and exciting than Ward vs. Bika.

    WTF?

So it's Froch vs. Abraham at 9pm EST and then (if that fight goes the distance or even most of it) Ward vs. Bika in its entirety overlapping with the HBO card. :fire

The only hope to somehow still get to see everything live is for Froch or Abraham to be KTFO extremely early (like in a minute flat) so that Ward vs. Bika can still finish up by around 10, in time to switch over before Lampley stops gabbing and fists start flying.

I think ward vs bika will be a long slow boring one sided whitewash to ward.
I don't mind missing that one live.

If forced to choose I'm definitely watching HBO instead, but it would have been nice for everything to work out.

It seems ludicrous to me that the ACTUAL Super Six World Boxing Classic bout isn't the main event.

I'm hoping Ward does another Green job on Bika and really beats him up. That would be satisfying (if not thrilling) to watch.

    Yeah, DVR is great.

Had it worked out the way that makes sense, my plan was to do RBR coverage for Froch-Abraham in the afternoon/evening and then do Ward-Bika at 9 and the HBO fights at 10. It looks like that just isn't possible. :conf

No problem in the west coast. The HBO telecast is due to start @ 6:45 while Showtimes starts @ 9. just have to make sure to stay off the net to avoid any spoilers!

Wow, you'll be getting Froch-Abraham seven hours after it occurs! (the east coast is getting it on four hour delay).

Why is Abraham-Froch scheduled at 9 PM ET? That would be 4 AM in Finland. So that fight would be a delayed telecast?

EDIT: Never mind. I guess there's no live broadcast?
