like I said before ... if Miguel wouldve won that fight against Margarito - then beat the **** out of that skeleton DLH then he wouldve been #1 p4p no doubt. I don't care what you guys say. Margarito was on the rise ... he had just won another world title from Cintron ... Mosley's name speaks for itself around now -- DLH is always a good name on someone's resume --
IF Cotto wouldve won there's no doubt that he would be the #1 fighter in the world ... he would still be undefeated and that weighs alot over a fighter who has 3 L's.
If Not Margarito, Then De La Hoya would have stopped him. Cotto is the better man for it trust me, If dude is what we thought he was he will be back to that form, It's just an "L". (That's what fighters do)
anyone with a pulse couldve beaten DLH ... Steve Forbes broke his orbital bone ... and looked good 12 rounds against DLH. especially if he had to fight DLH at 147 ...
It doesn't matter ... Cotto wouldve beat that guy ... its not really about the weight ... he wouldve been a standing target at 154. He front runned towards the end of his career and he fought in spurts. Not to say that he wouldn't have been more competetive but I think no matter of 147 or 154 ... Cotto wouldve took that fight by decision.
Cotto would have ripped Hoya up the way Hoya showed up at 147. You have a very good point. Those three wins would have skyrocketed Cotto's stock.
