look, Manny won't gain anything, legacywise, in beating any of the 3 at this time.

Wouldn't it make sense to take the fight where he makes the most money???

agreed. all 3 fights aren't stellar match ups. at least take the money, stay active, and hope Mayweather takes the fight at end of 2011.

I'm not sure that this fight will make as much money as Arum is hoping. The Mosley vs Mayweather fight was kind of disappointing because Mosley couldn't do anything after the 2nd round. Anyone who payed for that fight might not want to pay big money to see Mosley do the same against Pac. Some people will pay no matter what though, so well see what happens. This fight is already getting a lot of backlash from fans and sport writers.

He definitely has. He tasted a few good paydays and now he's hooked. He's starting to think like Floyd, but wants to hide behind his promoter.

At least fight Marquez who arguably has two wins over manny. What was the point of fighting Margarito if he pac wanted to fight Shane? Both fights seem pointless. pac/marquez is a much more relevant fight than pac/mosley. Besides, why would I care how much pac makes. I'm not a pbf fan. I care about the quality of a fight, now how much it going to make.

Every fighter gets forgiven for taking the occasional soft fight.

    Except, apparently, Pac.

He needs to fights Mosley now, not later when he gets older that it's harder to sell. I don't know about you but I can understand what goes on their mind. We have 3 fights to take. Berto can wait, Marquez can wait (even needs to prove himself at 140 first), Mosley CAN'T wait. So Mosley first then Berto or Marquez next.

JMM can better his chance if he fights Berto and beats him.

nah, people are slamming floyd for not fighting the toughest opposition to him like cotto in 2008 and now pac in 2009-2010. now you guys are slamming pac for picking mosley instead of jmm and/or berto. big difference.

NO! Pac selected one of the three presented to him. May ducked all the of them in the horizon. Big difference!!

Nobody is defending this match. Some people are just overreacting.

By the time Pac fought them, they weren't as relevant though. Pac fought Cotto who was destroyed by Margarito instead of fighting Mosley, who was the champ at the time (they called him too good). Then they fought Clottey (who had just lost to Cotto) instead of Mayweather. Then they fought Margarito, who was destroyed by Mosley. And now they are fighting Mosley who was dismantled by Mayweather. So, in reality it doesn't look that good. Whatever though. Maybe in 2012 we'll see Pac - Mayweather, but I wouldn't count on it.
