Damn shame we never got or will get Mikey vs Loma!!!

Loma dint want that work. Mikey tried to make the fight, Loma or his promoter Bob Arum wanted none of Mikey. Loma refused to dare to be great and take on Mikey and now Mikey is on to bigger and better things literally.

Loma & Bob flat out ducked Mikey : Factz.

 

mikey is calling the shots. he opted to fight spence.

 

both want the fight, loma didnt want it now, mikey not gonna wait on him. mikey chased loma into his own dressing room to ask for the fight, where loma replied that mikey was slow and easy to figure out.
right now, loma knows that his performance saturday would not be near enough to beat mikey, so he will wait till he feels at his best, or just avoid mikey in the future.
if mikey can pull off a draw vs spence, or make it so competitive that he gets a controversial loss, the pac fight is there, as well as many other multi million dollar paydays. loma is making a little over a million per fight, mikey demands 3,4 times that, how is arum going to agree to a purse based on these numbers? mikey does not need loma to take the next step up in legacy, and i dont see who loma can fight, since he dont want none of pac, who can help raise his legacy to the next level.

 

You don’t blame the guy who threw his belt in the trash, ate cheeseburgers and is now fighting a guy he is expected to lose against multiple weight divisions away?
The same guy who hasn’t fought anyone yet in his pro career, yet has called out everybody?
I think it’s pretty clear who didn’t want the fight.

 

I’ve seen interviews with Robert Garcia where he says Egis Klimas calls him every week asking when they can make the fight. And then Mikey says Loma will have to come to 135 and win a couple belts first. Then just the other day Mikey said Loma’s people have never contacted him.

It’s pretty obvious who is ducking here.

Mike has 2 belts at 135 and everyone knew Loma gonna move up to 135, fight Linares ( who Mickey didnt, even if it was there) and then unify vs Beltran ( or whoever bests him) . That was set in stone a year ago.
If Mikey really wanted to take Loma's scalp ( which he never intended) he would've stayed at 135. Fight a mandatory, give Linares a shot at the belts and KO him faster than Loma, pressure would build from the fans

But Garcia like you said, " demands 3-4 times that" , he's all about the money now. Thats what are these Spence and Pac fights are. He's chasing huge paydays thats it

There is no glory in beating Pac right now, but man he'd cause an earthquake in the boxing world if he'd beat Loma

And can you really say that Garcia vs Spence sells more PPv's than Garcia vs Loma for the undisputed title in 2019? I'm not so sure

And who makes a fight by chasing the other fighter into his locker room after a fight. Why didnt he make Schaffer or Robert call Arum and then, if talks fail, let Richard Schaffer tell us all about how Arum really didnt want it. But I have a strong feeling that Bob wants that fight. He cant make money with Loma if he doesnt make PPV fights.

 

its actually the nuthuggers who dont want to recognize the very real importance of the "prize" in prize fighting.
loma, out of his own mouth, said "mikey is basic and slow, yes he has power, but i fight welters, welters too have power." now, loma refuses to even consider fighting above 135 even against a legend, even though he fights with welters too. of course his fans will excuse all that chit talk, after all, its only chit when mikey talks it.
since, in your unbias eyes, the purses are just excuses, ask loma to give up his purse to make up what mikey can get elsewhere, and prove it aint about the money with loma.

You cannot possibly say that Loma doesnt want it then come back and say Garcia wants X amount of $$$ more so fight aint happening.

loma will go after Garcia next year. Hope you dont make excuses like Canelo fans did after the Khan fight

garcia camp is not shy about putting out there what mikey gets paid and what he expects to get paid. uncle al decided he could give garcia what hes used to, pay spence what hes used to, and still make money. whats preventing arum from doing the same?
i dont make excuses, im one of the few actual men here who dont carry that crutch. if mikey gets koed by spence, i will say mikey isnt good enough to compete at welter. should mikey ko loma next year, i can guarantee, you and guys like dealt_with and gil gonzalez will have excuses exploding out your asses.
