what is wrong with some fighters conditioning? or is he old too

Mike Tyson use to do agressive assualts like that for 8+ rounds non stop, and not on steroids, and he was a heavyweight carrying much more weight.

Old (36) Calzaghe use to throw 1000s of punches/slaps

Old Hopkins (43) threw a lot of punches against Kelly Pavlik...

Paul williams throws loads of punches too

Manny Pacquaio throws a lot of agressive punches too for 12 rounds

im sure we can name other fighters

Watch a Shane Mosley fight before Floyd Mayweather and you'll learn he is a beast down the stretch.

    His age played a part.

Two consecutive training camps played a part.

And Mayweather making him miss and hitting him played a part.

If you believe Mosley to be an unconditioned fighter than you must have been watching the sport for about a year. Mosley is 38 years old fighting in an aggressive come forward style... how he still manages to do that i will never know.

But throughout Mosley's career he has shown good stamina with the ability to push on down the stretch.

Just watch the Mosley v Collazo fight from a couple of years ago... Shane throws a decent number of punches then.

He happens to be an old man who hadn't fought for a year, probably going to effect him. I don't get how you come to the assumption that one fighter who made his amazing conditioning one of the cornerstones of his games, because a lazy badly conditioned fighter after one fight at 38?

Yes. He looked for a breather at the end of the 2nd and the whole third round...but Mayweather didn't let him. You think it would be easy to control your breathing whilst someone is punching you in the body and head?

the one thing i thought was really weird was that after the booom punch he landed he stopped, he didnt went crazy with punches trying to blast him out of there just stopped, floyd hold his arms a bit but when he let go mosley came forward cautiously, i thought he was going to throw bombs after that, that was his only shot.
From round 3 on he didnt do anything and was just getting beaten around.

You could put it down to the event and Floyd, havent seen it yet but I heard he looked equally as tired against Mora. In that case, I guess age has a lot to do with it.

You act like Mosley has never boxed before....admit it already, he was shot when he fought Floyd.

Not every boxer is the same. That's why some peak early, and some peak late. The guys at the lighter weights tend to fade quicker than the guys at the heavier weights.

    that was the script.

Where else in the world would a fighter fight a co-promoter of his fight?

Oscar must have fainted just looking at it!

So it's as simple as he was shot?

The three things I pointed out all contributed to Mosley's performance...and like someone else mentioned, the event got to him. He was running on adrenaline early, and looking for that same shot he landed in the second...he kind of got a 2nd wind later in the bout, but Mayweather was in too much of a rhythm for Mosley to do anything.
