    A couple remarks:
    1. Lemieux destroyed a good boxer with a decent power, Rosado, who Quillin struggled with.
    2. Mayweather KO'ed Ortiz who wasn't protecting himself at the time.

Pavlik was the man once but even Lemieux would have beaten him IMO. This is much bigger than Pavlik vs. Taylor 1 power and skill wise.

    Mate, that's incredibly disingenuous!

Lemiuex is incredibly more dangerous than Murray or Monroe Jnr who have feeble KO rates, but in Monroe's case winning rounds and teeing off on Golovkin.

If Lemiuex lands a fast left hook on Golovkin's chin he IS getting dropped or wobbled.

I think we'll see a first ever cautious, backfoot GGG ... That or he's getting KOd IMO

This isn't hype when this is said. If Golovkin doesn't wobble from a flush left hook from Lemieux, then he has a chin of diamond not granite.

Lemieux has the puncher's chanse, no doubt. But that's about it. GGG is light years ahead of him at anything and given Golovkin's reputation of never touching the canvas in a life time boxing career, "puncher's chance" is not much of a chance.

And I feel Lemieux' power is being overrated here. Sure he hits hard but he doesn't hit "Julian Jackson" hard. I mean there's absouletly no way N'dam goes the distance with GGG.

'In 2011, Rubio stopped a very green David Lemieux (who was 25-0) in the seventh round. Lemieux was well ahead on the cards and working Rubio over badly in the early rounds, but he ran out of gas and was stopped.

Rubio fought Golovkin a year ago and was stopped in the second round. The Mexican fighter says he was a dead man in the ring after struggling with weight for the entire training camp. Rubio failed to make weight for that fight and moved up to 168-pounds in his next bout.

"I see a lot of possibilities for Lemieux, he hits hard. We fought four years ago, he was inexperienced, he hits very hard and has great potential. Not to disparage anyone, but with 'GGG' I was a dead man because I was struggling with the weight. I was in the sauna the entire time and with Lemieux was one hundred percent. I would even say that Lemieux can win because he is a complete fighter and hard hits. When the time comes, he will have a chance," said Rubio to ESPN Deportes.

"Obviously GGG is the favorite because he is more dangerous, but do not doubt that David might surprise him. We have not seen anyone who can hit Gennady as [hard as] Lemieux can. It will be a very good fight, a war in which people can not blink at all."

    Damn. Ok.

I hope David gets in range and lands a hard one, per Guerrero it would be quite a feat if GGG just stood there and laugh. It'd tell us his chin is good to go for 168, and that whatever Canelo or Cotto would throw at him would just tickle.

The general consensus from common opponents like Rosado & Rubio etc is that Lemiuex hits harder and faster than GGG.

    50/50 IMO

Lemieux has serious power in BOTH hands, to head and body, whether it be hooks, uppercutts, straight right or even just the jab. And he's very aggressive, throws some nice counters and he has obviously improved. That alone makes him very dangerous, especially for fighters who also come to fight and are trying to get you out of there too, which Golovkin obviously does. I favour Golovkin by stoppage but Lemieux is a threat and if he lands flush or with the right sequence of bombs at the right time anything can happen, whether you're packing glass or a very stout set of whiskers. As Fernando Guerrero says, his power is real.
