Gary Shaw said he has a venue in Mexico and a date will Showtime lined up, but Arum keeps stalling and saying there's plenty of time until the proposed June date.

    Its over at the scene...

Don't get me wrong, I love the fight with Bradley,,, but personally I think Arum would be nuts to take that risk with Valero right now. Why bother?

If I handled E.V., I'd be working to keep that KO streak intact and biding my time for a shot the big payday down the road $$$$$$$$$.

I said it before Arum isn't an idiot, he isn't going to let Valero get his ass handed to him by Tim Bradley if he can make 5X the amount with a Manny Pacquiao fight.

well if it's at 135, can't see anybody taking issue with it.

**** man How can Bradley not get a fight. He needs to be Mr. Talk show or something cause he's been whooping some seriously high level competition over the last couple of years. He probably has one of the best records in boxing right now and he shouldn't have to keep chasing these tough fights.

He's the top dog in the division. He needs an image guru to get his name out to the public NOW. Then if these big fights don't come his way I say he should find two glass chinned (cause he can't pop) B level fighters with too much hart for their own good. Smack the **** out of them on Showtime and then hit the talk show circuit some more for the rest of the summer. Seriously he has the potential to whipp any of these big names, he could be the James Toney of our time but he needs to get in the game or at least make himself atractive enough for some money fighter to take a chance on him.

Couldn't agree more. He has to be the most unheralded guy in the sport right now, given the level of opposition he's handled over the last few years.

This is the exact sort of thing that is hurting boxing....

this... "oh no we have to wait until some unnamed point in the future when this fight will be bigger''

That being said, im not going to complain if its Valero vs Soto, i havnt seen soto fight in awhile but if hes still in form that would be a good fight too.

Valero isnt some green prospect anymore, i will agree it wont hurt him to get some durable guys to put him in with to season him a bit more in rounds 6-12, but one of these days they are going to have to man the **** up and fight someone.

Bob Arum is going to be on Steve Kim's radio show tonight, and Kim has been pumping the fight up more than anyone, so I'm sure he'll press Arum on the issue. Though Arum just might hang up on dude like he did one time before.

I would love to see Pac - Valero. Both similar fighters but Manny is just a brilliant version of Valero and we'd see a classic and masterclass at the same time.

Yeah, and then one fighter either unexpectedly loses or can no longer make weight in the division and the possibility of the fight fades even further.
