Why throw velero into the fire against bradley right now? He still hasn't proven himself. I called for the soto fight on another thread just so we can see where he really is at. Soto has more power than dimarco and is solid all around. I'm not sure velero could beat KENDAL HOLT right now, much less Timothy bradley. Let's see what this guy has before we annoint him. I'm a fan of velero now so I want to see him in atleast 2 solid fights before that. Two fights against Guzman, Cambell, Funeka, or Soto. He beats 2 of them then I feel he is ready to step up in weight and fight bradley.

How far do you really think Valero can go?

This is typical Arum. The infamous double dip.

Do you find this messed up?

As far as life takes him until he meets a fast defensive counter puncher with pop? They are few and far between.

At lightweight, I don't think Valero runs into trouble. I like JMM, but I don't think he has enough left to beat EV. One division up, JWW, though there could be possible problems.

Nobody really comes to mind, but he is fighting quite a few offensive minded fighters. Bradley lacks pop. I like Devon Alexander. I think both fight "save" enough to cause problems. I don't think an offensive minded fighter will stop Valero just yet. Only one on maybe Pac's level.

That is what I also feel. With his current size to power ratio, he can get away with a lot. Many guys can't handle the intensity or power. I think as he goes up he will find it harder to impose himself.

Now that is no knock on him. That is the case for any guy moving up. I just think he should be matched carefully so that his skills catch up with his natural abilities.

A Bradley fight is a bit too soon, IMHO.

How are people saying it's too soon for Valero to be fighting Bradley? Valero is older, has more fights, and has been fighting longer than Bradley. He's also won titles in two divisions. Experience, or lack thereof, is no reason reason for Valero not to be fighting any fighter.

that fight made about as much sense as Farmboxer.

Bob Arum is gonna put an undefeated Valero with a nicely padded 27-0-0 (27) record in against a bigger, better fighter that he doesn't even have options on?

Did anyone really think that was gonna happen?

Because he's never fought at 140 pounds and Bradley is probably the best 140-pounder? Look who Valero has fought. Now look who Bradley has fought and at what weight. It doesn't matter if he's had more fights or is older. Terrible fight for Edwin right now.

Valero's lack of experience will not be why this fight doesn't come off. It will be because he simply doesn't match up well with Bradley. Does anyone really think it will make much difference if he takes a fight or two at 140 first befroe fighting Bradley?

I think it makes a difference but not enough to prevent him from losing the fight. But of course it makes a difference if he gets accustomed to the weight. That kind of **** is important.

Will it change the outcome of the fight? I doubt it. Will it make a difference? At this level, to see him proven in the weight class before taking on the arguable top dog? Uh, yeah. Yeah, I think that matters. Call me crazy.

Who would not want to see this fight happens?

    I'd love the match-up!
