Exactly. There was no point in that fight in which Sonnen was not working.

read my post, he turned his intensity on and off when he felt like it. he wasn't moving like he usually does. it looked like he was sleeping most of the fight. watch the way silva took those punches, he rolled with them.

Sonnen just isn't an intelligent fighter, period. All he had to do was hold on for dear life and he would of won decisively, but instead he got lazy and placed himself in a horrible position. How many times does he have to get tapped out before he learns to watch for sub attempts?

He turned it on and off dictated by when Sonnen was letting him, he was not executing some gameplan ot there, he was losing the fight and it was not going the way he wanted.

He made an ok situation out of a terrible one, but it was by no means something he had planned on doing, it was the only option because he was getting beaten pretty much every second of the fight.

He did well to not get stopped, but it was by no means an intentionally strategy to get his **** pushed in.

Too much cynicism in the world today. Everything's fake or scripted. People are so boring nowadays, turning away from the truth.

i totally agree silva was in no danger of getting ko'd this guy decides when he wants to act

imo he just showed how useless it is to use chaels tactics for a fight where ur facing an elite guy

lay & pray got exposed for what it is
    boring

try some submissions next time chael if u want to end the fight

If you found that fight boring, there is no helping you.

That was not lay and pray, that was outstrike, takedown, beat ruthless, repeat for 4 1/2 rounds, and then get caught in an triangle/armbar for the 100th time.

Silva did not follow some sort of secret gameplan, he got his ass beat and then saved the fight with a great sub at the last moment basically.

if anyone thought the above, you have serious issues, i rarely get wound up for fights like i was last night, i watched at my mates house and needed 10 minutes to compose myself after the fight i was physically and mentally drained and had to drive home

i think its obvious dana told silva "make this a good fight and i'll give you a raise" silva wasnt trying untill he put the triangle on

So his idea of "making the fight good" was getting the **** beat out of him for 23 minutes, and then getting a triangle that if Sonnen would have backed out of guard he would have lost the fight?

    Great logic.

There was literally no way to plan that out, the fight could have been stopped, Sonnen could have been passive the last round, Silva could have missed the sub.

    Basically, you're an idiot.

i don't know why silva allowed this to happen in an actual match. he looked like he was in a sparring environment. but then there where moments he looked like he was trying, in the times that he did pick it up, he was fantastic. the jab setting up the right elbow was brilliant.

look he looked terrible, not because chael was so good but because silva didn't turn it on. when chael was on top he was throwing these half-ass hammerfists and silva just stayed in the same position, allowing this to happen, he had every opprotunity to simply move away and didn't. he was in no trouble. it is a risky tactic and i don't like it, i just want you to understand what an ass whooping is and this was no ass-whooping.

child please. silva let himself get taken down by repeatedly jumping in the air with rediculous kicks. then on the ground he basically stalled and was pure defense, not a single sub attempt. standing he repeatedly let his opponent hit him in the jaw 3-4.. and on the ground he took his best GnP punches without ever getting stunned. at the beginning of the last round, he was fresher than his opponent. he saw that sub from a mile away and let him get his confidence up before snapping it on

think of it this way, the other guy was fighting for his life the whole time. silva wasn't.

Yes, Silva purposely got beat for 4 rounds, because he just happened to want to.

Reality is he couldn't stop it, so he did his best to survive by staying calm. If you think he did anything in the first 4 rounds on purpose, you are an idiot.

You are an idiot anyway, you think you could "beat any man in a 30 mile radius" including Clay Guida, just because you are "full of rage and adrenaline"

You truely are an idiot. Highschool dropout?
