Why did you get into politics at the height of your career?! :| You lost focus, hunger, and drive! :|

He was finished after his 2010 demolition job on Margarito. He earned his status as the greatest boxer since Duran and Leonard. To top that off, he has two wins against a future HOF Bradley at welterweight.

He lost focus, hunger, drive. He looked slow, he wasn't a killer anymore and it's evident in his fights. More recently we've been seeing a very gun shy Pacquiao. You think, is this the same guy that took punches from Morales, Cotto and Margarito and fought brutally to win?

    By 2015, Manny was semi-shot.

You have a VERY fringe opinion. It is indicative of lacking any real knowledge and understanding of boxing.

Hopkins and Marquez have never been considered greater than Pacquiao, by anyone.
'Marquez who beat him four times' - this shows your BIAS. Pacquiao was made the victor. Because of my lack of bias, I am able to say that I think Marquez beat Pacquiao in the third fight. The others are pick em's, but Manny is the one who was awarded the decision.

When you're a fiercely aggressive boxer, rising from Minimum-weight to Light Middleweight is a feat unheard of.
Manny beat Sasakul, a very good flyweight. He then went on to win rivalries against two ATG's, Morales and Barrera. He had even fights with another ATG in Marquez.

Manny should have been knocked out against Hatton. It doesn't make sense that a man with a small frame and aggressive, would lose to Hatton.
It doesn't stop there, that's the thing. Manny was meant to be knocked out left, right and centre at 140 and retire. But he ended up dominating a PRIME Cotto who said after the fight that he felt in great condition but Pac was the better man. It didn't stop because Manny dominated A HUGE welterweight in Clottey - very underrated fighter who had an even fight with Cotto and beat Zab Judah.
Manny then did something so unprecedented, he demolished Margarito who was almost 170lbs on fight night. Margarito weighed 6lbs MORE in the weigh in!

A wore-torn Pacquiao went on to beat Bradley twice, more convincingly in the rematch. Bradley SHOULD have knocked Pacquiao out. Mayweather SHOULD have knocked Pacquiao out. Hatton SHOULD have knocked Pacquiao out.

Mayweather on the other hand doesn't have an at-or-near prime ATG win on his resume. His career after 135lbs is a farce. Defensive fighters RISE THROUGH THE WEIGHT CLASSES WELL.

Bernard Hopkins is going to be called a great middleweight in the way Golovkin will. Consistency and beating all comers.

Manny Pacquiao, Top 20 of all time.
Floyd Mayweather, Top 40 of all time.

Manny was robbed of a win in their first fight. It's so dumb... one judge couldn't do math and Manny had to pay for that.

I agree. Pacquiao is the greatest fighter since Duran and Leonard. I'd rank Duran in the top 10 of all time. Leonard and Pacquiao are extremely close as far as greatness in the teens.

Now H2H ability prime Leonard at 147 blows blows prime Pacquiao from 122-130 away. But that's not greatness.

Greatness is what actually happened in the ring. Who you fought, what was the outcome, what condition were they in at the time? That's what determines greatness.

    -Sasakul
    -Ledwaba
    -Barrera
    -Marquez
    -Morales (slightly past prime)
    -Cotto
    -Hatton (slightly past prime)
    -DLH (Unfortunately was shot)
    -Margarito (slightly past prime)
    -Bradley

That's an incredible and almost unbelievable resume. It's genuinely hard to believe that somebody could amass a resume like this in modern boxing.

It's not the politics, it's the religion that got to him. Some one needs to pull him to the dark side again. Bet he can still damage most of the top 10 147lbs

H2H ability, no question. As far as greatness won't blame you for saying that either.

Yup, Duran is Top 10 for me too, with Leonard and Pac in teens. Leonard for me is greater than Pac because of the fact that he beat the best pressure fighter ever in Duran; the guy who would outbox anyone in boxing history - Hearns; one of the very best defensive fighters ever in Benitez, and although past prime, like Leonard himself, one of the very GOAT middleweights in Hagler. As well as other good wins. Leonard is then arguably the best ever on a H2H standpoint.

I think H2H ability is a part of overall greatness, but it's just one piece of a large puzzle that should be more centred around the things you listed.

Margs was slightly past prime, a good thing though was that he was still 'near' prime and obviously outweighed Manny massively.
They look like father and son: https://beatsboxingmayhem.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/pacquiaomargarito.jpg

Truly an unbelievable career. Bradley is a good touch to top off the career as he'll go down as a future HOF when he retires.

That may be the case, but the guy's focus was not what it could have been. And in the fight game, preparation is paramount. Since he got into politics, Pac's had to defend his focus in every training camp.

Well to be fair that was clearly an old and faded Marquez.

That fight will live in infamy because of the savage KO.

But historically it is the least relevant of the 4 fights otherwise.
